I don't think it matters what mods you have done to your car.Unfortunately,its the 'Subaru Impreza' as a brand name that conjures up all sorts of undesirable images from others.

Do a search on google for 'subaru chavs' its quite funny to see how some forums hold the poor old Impreza in such low esteem.

and knocklinks dump valves or additional efforts, detangoing etc, will only reduce the amount of chavism.

Fact is, the subaru is now seen as a 'chav' (or 'charver' if your from up north') to be honest I wousn't be seen dead in one, they are so common!

I've seen that metro, it's down the Edware road, The Hendon bit, always makes me laugh when i see it.

I dnt think people with scoobs can be chavs by definition, whatever they do to there cars. The insurance for a young person alone is so high, that to have that money or have that money spent on you means you fall out of the catagory chav, by no means am I basing this on anybody or casting asspersions in ne way but surly, lots of money, bad taste and no respect would make you a spoilt brat and not a chav?? Just a thought.

When I driving the Skyline GTR, people always call liner or F & F. Anyone know about Skyline would call it R32, R33 etc..

 

I agree with that. How can you say a car is Chav. This whole thread is completely ridiculous. If you think you`re scoobies are chav cars and you don`t want to be associated with them then sell them and leave those who don`t care what people think to enjoy their cars

 

Stay clear of lexus rear lights and also neons and you're ok. And obviously most ott bodykits.
Exhausts, dump valves and Filters are all about getting the best sound and performance out of the car, so its a bit silly to label them chavish cause most chavs dont have a clue about car tuning.

 

Dont forget the differences between maxpower and chav. I personally think that massive ott bodykits (apart from official look replica WRC kits), horrible wheels that are bought because they are in fashion rather then taste, lairy paint jobs, etc etc are not chav, just a bit maxpowerish. I have nothing against it just as long as any car is done 'tastefully' i.e. something that you can see looks good or is done well.

What i hate are cars that are done really badly, like seriously OTT or bodged.

I personally think a chav scooby driver is the youngish guy in his 92 WRX sh*tbox that races everyone everywhere no matter what, drives to macdonalds to hang out with his b*tches etc etc.
