What mods make your car "Chav"

I know that some mods are not to everyones taste but you don't have to go around calling eveyone a chav, just because it's slightly different.
I usually only look at the for sale, meets & events and projects section on this forum as there are too many people on here that take the holier than thou, you have a classic and are therefore a chav!
It's your car so do want you want with it!
Ben
PS - FMS I think you should post some more 'arty' pics of your car. It's looking awesome!!

If somebody earns their own money to buy and run their own impreza, what right do all you old farts have to call them a name? Very stupid and very immature.
Individuality is a god given right and is what makes this country great. If you want to follow the sheep, go and live on a farm!

Aye.
I still see the word "Chav" to me as scum
But most people in general and here on SN have adopted it to refer it to poeple with more money than taste.
The word is about as fashionable as their clothing

You are a well respected member of the community with a splendid car.
Surely you are bigger than "chav" comments.

It's more like chavdebatenet than scoobynet, let's all enjoy our motors and discuss something more worthwhile!!

calling calling them chav's
You cant help but see both sides!!! Due to the very good value of the early Impreza' they are attracting so called 'chavs' as we all wanted the fastest car for the least amount of money when we were younger. Only issue with that is it tars all the other Impreza drivers with the same brush thus people saying the Impreza is a chav car.
So thing has happened with the Civic type R due to massive discounts on grey imports.

Who cares ? its your car, do what you want to it - whatever you do wont appeal to everyone, some people think driving a bog standard from the showroom car is sad.
If the only reason you modify your car is to try and impress other people, then you're off to a non starter as you'll never please everyone as its a personal thing.
Personally I hate bodykitted 1.0 Corsas with stereos that cost more than the car is worth and oversized alloys that scrape the arches, but I'm sure the owner who spent his money on making his car look like that is happy with it.
The only real addition that makes your car chav is 2 baseball cap wearing anorexic looking mates in badly fitting tracksuits, bumfluff taches, 9ct gold plated sovs, and a couple of scraggy looking girls with the obligatory dark rings under their eyes, 2 different coloured kids each, more Elizabeth Duke than Argos and a voice like scratching nails down a blackboard ( oh, and to qualify they have to have shagged all the men in the car at least twice while drunk on alcopops, preferable all at the same time ).

Well my stickered up classic with rear afterburner lights and vortex exhaust will no doubt fall into this catergory according to most on here.
Chav thats rubbish just because some of us dont conform to norm!
Maybe i should de-sticker, sti4 spoiler and change to a small exhaust and then change to the obligatory scoobynet STI rear lights instead.
Only then may I be classed as a true scooby enthusiast.
PS: Happy New Year to all

Think the chav thing relates to the inevitable insecurities of members on here who`s bought any model scooby(2000 on)believing them to be better then realising theyre not !!!!! (pmsl only avin a laff lads)
dont bother me how classics are labeled, only gotta go a drive in mine to confirm they`re cool,so long as the owners are happy who cares no matter what scooby u drive.
