Graham, I stripped all the OEM understeal off to have a look at the metal.. its now had a 'reasonable coat' of spray on underbody sealant / stone chip to protect it and then been covered in shultz (sp) black messy ****.. which got on my paint work inside.. Not Happy that I didnt check, before emptying the can!

nah, just been painted in some paint I had lying around, as you cant make a mould from filler
Yep, and i think some bulkhead shaping to the left of the engine brace bulkhead bracket?
Maybe that is where the phantom sequential shifter mechanism sqeezes in?
Great progress David, I know the work it takes to do this sort of stuff DIY.
Now all the racer/pit crew duties are all but over you can get on with it!
Only 5 months to go before the first hill climb....

No bulkhead reshaping has been done on the car yet Graham, guess again.
What your noticing is probably the seam welding and camera angle.

I presume he did that to match the other car.. remove the weight of the spare wheel well etc.. but I assume there is something more that we haven't spotted yet..
I notice the panel below the screen the bonnet will butt to doesn't appear to be straight?

No its just the bulkhead pic... plenty of holes missing
Boot floor is because the new fuel tank hangs below the floor and to match other car!

I know that paul! Its just that it takes a lot more effort to do this than you'd think, but Its quicker than me having to find grommets to fill the holes left by the loom..
The main reasons I have done the others is that there are no grommets on the car to fill the holes with IYSWIM.. its just bits of the loom, which I wont be having as I am making a loom from scratch
The hole for the LHD wiper motor, I have a plastic bung for and its light

The hole next to the clutch / brake cylinder isnt required, but I just havent done it yet, May not either, might come in handy for boost guage
I also need somewhere to run either the MSD or coil wires, as I want them away from the 8 Injector Wires and Crank and cam trigger wires (see I've given something away there!)
Not done anything today as I had to work.. actually thats a lie, Ive been alligning fibreglass doors, which is pretty hard on your own! Especially when the trick with metal doors is to swing on them!!.. cant do that with Fibreglass ones.. ask AndyF...
Inside is really pissing me off as its so hard to paint, Keep finding bits Ive missed.. Fooking white paint on white primer was a bad idea..
Anyway, Car should be off the jig tomorrow as howard needs it back, and I said Id take it early this week.. Im fooking useless.. so expecting a slap when he does get it back!!

I think the 1650cc injectors im going to be using, ie 3300cc Per cylinder should be a good starting point
Bigger than the 850's anyway
Have you done any 8 injector Autistics yet?
