Those joints are just so tight...really nice cutting David.
Hope you are good at welding upside down.

Don't you go to prison if you ride one of those nowadays?

Are you tying (sp) the B posts to the cage?

Lovely job David!

I work in a normal 2 car garage on a road going Impreza!
Hope the roof panel won't dent too easy...

David works on a different plane.

Graham,

I hate welding upside down, however the jig lets me turn it onto its side pretty easily.. doesnt hit the roof on the floor though

Excellent joints there fella. When I did it for a living I was forced to make them with a disc cutter LOL, the **** I used to put up with at that place......

Roelands just this second mailed me,(yes 10.45pm LOL ) cage came in this morning and he's fitted the fooking thing already.

Keep it up fella, and get a heater for Christ sake.

Nice work there, will the bars get the soft rubber/plastic coating on them or are you just going to spray em?

Protective padding of the correct spec is an MSA requirement on tubes about the driver's head as it can move to in a crash(!), and it is expensive..

Tim.. they arent natural gas..

I have a gas supply in the garage, that I dont pay the bill for (covered by my 'board') however propane would cost me.. catch my drift..

Are you going to weld the joint above the rear strut towers before you weld in the rear diag? I see you've tacked it in place already.

BTW my nephews need a clinming frame, can you help?

Richard,

It was bought in kit form (albeit for a saloon) from custom cages
