Just a couple of questions - Firstly do you get noise testeed before getting onto the Ring. Secondly how many laps do people tend to do in a day ? Do you have to queue up to get on ?

Chaps we might be able to get a good deal on the Ferry Crossing at Tony Quinn is sorting us a deal through Stenna, either this or the Channel Tunnel route of which someone mentioned.
Ive received emails from people and the costs are again as follows:
Right here is an outline to costs:
Fuel to and From Dover £#
Ferry or Channel Crossing £150 for this trip
Fuel to Nurburg @ 295 Miles for a Scoob is around 1.5 tanks which in Euro Fuel Prices around £80
Hotel is around £30-40 per night depending on single or double
Food is around £15 perday
Beer and Tequila more importantly is around £15 per night of unlike some of us £30
Fuel in Germany is around 1/3 cheaper than the UK I think, can't remember I was using Diesel power
1 Lap around the Ring is £7, most people buy a 12 lapper around £75 and that will last you more than a day if you’re a 1st timer.
Ring Memorabilia is around £30 if you want some
Travel Insurance is around £20-40
Breakdown Cover is around £20 for trip
Greencard is a must for travelling in Europe and some insurers charge around £15 for one
Please Please don't bring Travellers Cheques, cash is the main thing or credit cards
Extra Curricular activities such as Go Karting are fairly cheap £10-15 for a good laugh.
You also need to be a major Beef or Pork eater to enjoy the local cuisine
Those who are definite for coming please email me and I will book the rooms at the hotel, I was thinking about Eurotunnel this time as its the same price as Seacat. Opinions please???
Closer to the time a full list of attendees will be published, the above is off the top of my head and im sure there a couple of things I may have forgotten.
Remember the Pub doesn't close until its last man standing and they love us
Hope this helps

Harj you have mail.
I am definetly going this time, time is booked off work, moved me holiday in Aus, cars well sorted.
If anybody wants to become a passenger in my Civic Type R they are more than welcome. Will be driving down from Wigan so don't mind picking someone up from the J27 M6 downwards.

Harj,
You got mail.
Sorry forgot to put in e mail, I do not need a ferry booking ( if you are intending to book for everyone). Nearer the time I will find out roughly what time you guys will be in Calais and meet you there, unless anyone is travelling P&O.
Cheers

I think Stef mentioned September/Oct for another trip - can do around those dates
Alll the best

There's quite a lot of interest being shown here. Harj are you keeping numbers? Maybe we should start a new thread and restrict it people posting a definitite confirmation. Or maybe you're already more organised than that?

Harj,
Count me in for a single or a double for that matter, I don't mind sharing again

Harj,
If I said book me a room, what's the latest I could cancel without getting charged? A few irons in the fire at present.
Probably want a lift again (blag, blag ), as my current car goes back to the lease company on the 29th June. Should be sorted to drive out in September though.
Chris.

Put me down for a room friday and sat night only please harj.
I am going to have to do a short trip this time because of a lack of free Holidays.
