I'm pulling out from the Group Buy I'm afraid. I shall only say "... for personal reasons". Although the girlfriend managed to come up with many other reasons after she queried why I was pulling the carpet out from the passenger foot well.
Note to self - Always have a plan and zero cost reason for doing anything. Better still wait until GF is out for the day.
Sorry folks. Don't think I'm upsetting anyone as Á¢ïÐ seems to have just jumped in my place.

I like to lay the groundwork months in advance; a little comment here about how nice it would be to be able to run without octane booster, a little mumble there about I could do with better fuel economy, a barefaced lie about how nice it would be to map it for normal 95 unleaded etc etc. Then lo and behold, a group buy comes along with the exact piece of expensive equipment that solves all these 'fuel economy' problems at a stroke.
And as far as the other thing about mods costing £25-£30 goes, she's already wise to that little game. It only took a couple of years before she realised all she had to do was multiply by three to get the real price. Much better to make up technical yet plausible money-saving reasons which somehow involve spending money...

All is good now folks.
I've paid & all is sorted.
£381 all in.
Sad thing is, when Paypal do the conversion it comes to £392 - profiteering I'd say!
Still a bargain however!
Price will go up & down depending on Yen/£ conversion - maybe you won't get PayPal fukked as much as I did!!
Please PM me for the link from which to take advantage of this wonderful one time only, offer.
Thanks

ok Ive paid
Make sure that when you do pay you are on the right page!!!!!!!! I wasnt and couldnt work out why it was more than it should be
You have to register, and then go to the right page, I typed this in from the link Spufus will send you
Place the order, but DONT pay untill they get back to you having removed the paypal fees charge
You MUST pay in Yen, which is where you are at the mercy of exchange rates
Go to pub to spend all the money you have just saved

Guys a little problem brewing in my mind...
My car code is:
GF8E5ED
Which according to SIDC is:
Sep.97-Aug.98 MY98
WRX STi4 5 door
I'm gonna get Jolly Green G to map, and he's trying to help make sure I get the right part.
I was on my hands in knees last night .... trying to get to the ECU, but I've got noisekiller matting installed in the foot well... and... well... I couldn't see anything in the 5 mins I had to spare.
I think I need the 3 connector job... can anyone help/confirm? (I'm away from the car for a whole week )
Cheers.

Sorry folks forgot to post instructions - doh!
PM me & I'll send a link to the order page.
The correct page has www.type-ra.co.uk members group buy on it - if not you are on the wrong page.
You will need to create an account with them, then you will see the discounted price.
Order your item but do not pay. They will then send you confirmation of price without PayPal fee.
Keep checking your account on their site & they will update it with payment details.
Then pay in Japanese Yen via PayPal & Hey Presto!
The price will vary according to exchange rate.

I've just remembered why I stopped using paypal,
Is paypal the only way we can pay as it will take about a week to clear the funds going into the account
