Iain.
Yeh! That's why we have a wagon, to put the photos in. Pleased that the Sussex crew have a high boredom threshold, with most getting through all three albums---and on such a hot day! Like Kim, we would prefer hotel, having done all the other. When nearer the time, can suggest a good camp site though, on the south coast, overlooking the sea! Brilliant in a force 7 gale!

It's good to see a lot of interest in the trip over here. I don't think there is many more than 12 scoobys in the island now, so it will be a good show.
Good work Kim.

Off to the IOW next weekend. Cost £273 for 2 adults/2 kids for 2 nights including ferry. Not cheap, but top looking hotel. I'll post what I think of the Hotel when I get back
Dates permitting, the wife and I would be happy to go back in Oct.
Kim, what about kiddies? Would they be welcome?

Hi Kim,
Enjoyed our first trip on Sunday, unfortunately the baby is due on the 23rd, so unless you can recommend a good hospital on the Isle of Wight its looks like we'll have to give it a miss. I have spent ages finding a decent login, an original is always the best ............

David - no problem if you (or anyone else) want to bring the/their kids - will give me more of a (valid) excuse to run round Blackgang Chine like a big kid
Steve - Scooby-Doo is like it.

Well done Kim. It sounds like it's gonna be a right laugh if everyone comes down. I think Blackgang Chine would be an excellent idea especially if some are bringing their kids with them. Shame it's in October though, the water slides might be a little cold!!!
I'm got to catch a Wightlink Ferry tommorrow, so I'll find out if it's possible to get a block booking discount!!!
Anythings worth a try, considering the astronomical ferry cost.
Regards

Well,
I think it would be rude of me not to join this little excursion, especially as I'm already in Pompey (well Gosport)
Can we go to that IOW Pearl place? Not to shop, just for the roads!!! Took the scooby over there last year for a camping trip and took the Missus to IOW Pearl... Great, great roads, the scoob just eats them up!

Scott, you read my mind.
Chuck, we will bung the hotel manager a shed load of money to look after Calvin and Emily...if not, they can come out with us. Calvin can get on the Vodka Redcurrent Juices and Emily can hit the squashilla

The kids will be alright. Angela's a fully qualified Nanny (sorry child care technician) , But I didn't tell you that OK.
Though I think the rest of us might need looking after, especially if that Maffa bloke comes along. All I'll say is don't try to drink/eat him under the table.
Iain.
Edit 'cos I can't speel ever!

chaps...
can i take it this will be more focused on the beverage side of things than the drive side....after all.... there arent too many roads over there...and it shouldnt really take very long to drive round 'em...
...and by the sound of it... with so much interest...we'll have scoobs from one end of the island to the other....

Theres lots of (nice) roads and don't forget you can drive in both directions.
You can do what you want. I'm sure there will be those who want to drive, those who want to see the sites and those who would like a drink in the evening.
Me, I'm up for a drive/see the sites and a beer or 2 in the evening (bearing in mind we have to drive the next day).
And all with a great bunch af people!!!!
