Yep great meet - good to see everyone - even the UK300 looked (quite
) good in the flesh. Top marks (to Ian I think?) for finding a good pub with a great publican.
Thanks to Pete for the SIDC whip behind the bar
Cheers

Thankyou to those who organised the meet. And a BIG thanks to Pete Croney for the whip. That was beyond the call of duty
It was nice to see some varied Scooby’s, even the ugly UK300, which admittedly did look better in the flesh, apart from that rear wing
But saying that comparing the UK300 next to Scooby Sports WRX, there’s no competition, the morrettes are the business. Thank the lord WRX’s saviour. The 22B & P1 looked gorgeous.
I would like to make a suggestion though. It was my first meet, and I was a little disappointed that there was no social structure to the afternoon, in the sense of I didn’t know where anyone was, or who they were. I did admittedly turn up at 14:00, but there were still 20+ Scooby’s in the car park.
I think some form of talk, video, quiz, or sign would help bring everybody together, especially the Newbies, and get people talking. Just an idea.
By the way great pub, the food was excellent.
Until the next one.
M
PS – Pete what was with those huge CRACKS in your WRX’s windscreen

)
HOWEVER - mine is booked in at Leda this Saturday.......and should have the Morette covers/skirts/SS WRC wing on both by then too

Glad you enjoyed it folks, despite the miserable weather...
So, in the vein attempt to have an Essex meet that doesnt involve a downpour (as per the last three
) I have approached the landlord about a return visit next time... Not surprisingly, he will be more than happy to have us back
So, shall we pencil in the third Sunday in July? That'll be the 22nd (Ignoring the 1st that is)... One week after the Karting
Whatd'ya say?
James.
