Sunday 14 Jan - Fleet (Surrey) Meet 2001-01

NITO
I am definitely keen to hook up to get there.
Just so we're clear on the intended route, you'll be going along the M20, then M26 up to the M25. Then clockwise along the bottom of the M25 until reaching the M3. That about right?
The M26 passes right nextdoor, so let me know what route you want to take, and we can work out a suitable meeting point.
Thanks
Gray

Hi Jo & Dave,
I'm working in sunny Peterborough next Thu so'll not be able to make it
My next jaunt after Sunday will be the 11th at SantaPod, it's a good way to clean your clutch
Peter.

Jo - no, just staying well clear of Italian girls from now on
See the usual lot at the Cricketers next Thurs at 7pm (Scott that's the Cricketers on the A30, not the one in Windlesham).
Ronnie/Tony - you going to make it? Pete - catch you at the next one if I don't see you Sunday.
Alex -
Rich.

Right, I'm off home shortly (ITs wonderful init, 4 hr workin' day )..
So if any of you get lost, call me on 07887-932233, and I'll put you onto some like Danny F who can give clear and concise directions (apparently unlike mine!).
Have a good one, see some of you at Donno tomorrow lunchtime (ish).
And the rest of you on Sunday @ The Quays @ noon.
Cheers, Alex

due to a bungling mess somewhere between B&C and scoobysport, the wrong downpipe arrived for my car, so I'm too embarrassed to turn up in a legacy (they only worked it out after they'd removed my downpipe).
I can't believe it - I'm really arsed off

Bit late in the day. Been tied up at work all week....
Hopefully there is room at the table for a Scoobie Newbie. It'll be good to put some names to faces (or cars).
Does anyone coming along have an installed Ecotek unit yet. I've got one in the post, so it would be good to see one in situ.
Scott
[Pretty standard STI5 R Limited. Except the SS Backbox and "bugger me, daylight!!" PIAA lights. ]

Thanks to Alex for organising again!
Just in case you didn't know, or have heard something, I'll fill you in....
Went for a drive with the guys at the back of the pack.
I went into a corner, and the rear nearside wheel caught some mud.
The backend slide out, I was on opposite lock to come out, when the car gripped and sent me into a ditch.
Both my self and my girlfriend are fine. no problems, no bumps, no bruises.
With help of everyone who pushed the car, and a friendly policeman/woman, they got the car out of the ditch.
The car is not driveable!! The front offside wheel has been pushed into the car, and looks like the strut has shifted. A new wing will be needed, but the other damage is cosmetic (door, bonnet, bumper)
I can't remember everyone who helped, as it's a bit of a blur, but I'd like to thank everyone who did.
Especially Simon (Mr. Cookie) and Nito. I can't remember who's phone I used, but thanks!
Friend with AA cover turned up at 4.15pm. The truck turned up at 5.30pm, and after dropping the car at Cheam Motors, I've just got home!!
Don't think I was over the speed limit, just just unlucky.
That said, while it's in the garage, I may get the brakes and suspension sorted. Along with that I'm going to get some driver training, and some track days under my belt.
I'll post piccies when I'm ready!
Hope you all had a safe journey home
Andy

Blimey Andy. I didn't go on the drive because my tyres are looking a little, well tired . Looks like I made the right decision. Glad to hear that you and the g/f are OK - that's the main thing. Hope your're back on the road soon.
Simon - nice to meet you at last!!
Cheers

Andy, bad news about the car - good to hear you and gf were fine tho'.
apols to Alex also for not turning up. As stated in previous post, car was in bits when B&C discovered they had the wrong DP! I certainly wasn't going for a drive in a legacy GL auto. If this is going to be on every month, I'll get there!

Shame we missed you!! Turning up in a Legacy would have been a laugh (for us!!!)
See you there next month, but forgive me if I don't go for the drive!!!
The car should be better than ever then!!! (fingers crossed!)
