FOR THOSE WHO DONT KNOW THE BOX HILL AREA

Its a favourite police speed trap area, as well as a few cameras they constantly set up speed traps as Box Hill is a big biker meet. Just a word of warning from someone who was caught speeding last year on his bike by a bloody Helicopter.... using the marks on the road to calculate my speed.

Hopefully be there on Saturady

Well the simple solution to that is. If you don't act like a nipple they'll leave you and us alone. The last time we were at Boxhill they came into the carpark, drove around us all looked at the cars, saw that we weren't causing any bother and buggered off again, that was it.

Nothing to worry about.

Saying that though, as a biker as well there is a fair bit of victimisation goes on there against the bikes and if the meet draws many people you can bet they will take a fair amount of notice.
It was hardly busy at the last supra meet, and i think this one is going to be a LOT busier (hope so anyway).

Though in defence to the police, there are always some loonies who force the police into action.

I just know im going to regret the above statement on the drive down to brighton hehe

A friend of my dad was stopped by the police on his motorbike last month (Suzuki GSXR1100). When he told the police that there were cars going much faster than him he was told "We are only interested in bikers today".

Anyway as I live in Leatherhead (about 10 miles away from Boxhill) I think it would be rude if I didn't pop along for a look...

Being from Dorking (1 mile away) it would be rude not to go - see you all there. Might actually be over Woking way in the morning and join you lot.

According to a post on the egroups for jap performance cars, this meet is now scheduled to start from 3pm.

so those that were worried about missing the england game have no excuses, and they can mooch on down and say hello before returning home for the kick off

If its a nice day ill be there nice and early to secure a parking spot and it would be nice if not amusing for a hat full of boxer engines to drown everyone else out

c u there.

peter - white m98 sti5 with biplane rear spoiler - come say hello.

Alex

Dont know if this is trying to do to many meet ups in one go but when i did my Dummy Run (me being the dummy)i went woking, old woking, send, newlands corner(i think could not find it last time) dorking and then boxhill. Which is A247 and A25, dont know if this is a long route or anyone knows a better way but could probably meet Guildford lot at newlands corner.

Simon

Hi Guys.
Nice to meet you all as well.
Shame about the weather, but it takes more than that to keep me indoors!
Hope to see you at future events.

PHolt (Peter?)
I can't believe nobody has told you before!

Stef.

Question

What happened ??

I went to Brighton to find PC Plod had shut the road by the pier, I asked why and he said some out of control Cruise with the Jap performance cars was going on so they shut it down.

How was Box Hill ??

That wasn't quite the case.
The organisers of the jap performance thing had been informed by the police that madeira drive was closed for so VW meeting.

We ended up at mickey d's at the marina.

Boxhill was cold & wet but fun.
was nice to meet stef as well.

If only to find out i had a my99 instead of a 98 hehehe.

Nice to see so many Impreza's at boxhill although those P1s are a bit too common...

Anyway apart from stef's car (The cossieKiller stickers sort of gave it away!) Who admits responsibilty for which car??

Mine was the Dirty DBM MY00 parked next to the Black Evo 6.

PT: Doh - it must have been you I was parked next to. If I'd realised I'd have said hello - I was in the White G-reg Supra.

Mine was the X-plate P1 with the STI spoiler (due to prodrive probs, waiting for my P1 spoiler..)..

Alex

PS. my shopping list is now the Prodrive breaks & exhaust, and the 18" P1 alloys... now that I've seen them in the flesh!
