Excellent - now we're getting organised!

I know all the roads around the Royston->Cambridge area (M11 or A10) like the back of my hand, as I explored them all in the first few weeks of Scoob ownership Barley's great for me too - although a bit near work for comfort

Can I suggest Sunday 15th October? Can't do 22nd as it's the last F1 GP...

I know of lots of great pubs in the area too (those Friday lunchtimes aren't wasted!). Can I suggest the Royal Oak at Barrington? Big enough for us people, reasonable selection of beverages, nice old timber pub. If we want to eat there we'll have to book fairly quickly if there's lots of us.

Hey-ho, drop me an e-mail or confirm here you're coming and I'll book the pub. Toby, fancy planning a drive around? I vote we include the road from Fowlmere and Newton through the Shelfords to the S of Cambridge as they're brilliant...

Cheers
Richard

BTW we want to watch the last GP too (22nd) but as it's Malaysia the TV coverage starts at 7:45am so not necessarily a problem - could do the run on 22nd.

Map / directions are no problem, I'll post it later on.
How does everybody feel about meeting on the Monday 16th?

If we do the 16th, many won't be able to make it for an evening one, and we can't have a nice drive around as it'll be dark. Weekends are probably better...

Can't make the 15th, but the 22nd should be OK. I've also been to the Royal Oak at Barrington - nice olde worlde pub, although parking is a bit restricted. Would the pub give us our own parking area if we confirmed numbers?

OK, let's make it the 22nd. Gives everyone chance to bookmark the date.

The Royal Oak has parking for about 25 cars so ought to be ok. We should be able to park on the paths and things nearby anyway if not - I'll ask when I book.

I've started a new thread so we can bring this to the top - please don't reply to this one now!

Webbie/Moderator, fancy closing this for me? Ta...
