**** working!

Still by the next one I should have my P1 run in (220 miles and counting), then my 7 yr old should give us all an informed view if an MY99 or the P1 is better for this little slow ride admiring the great british country side!

Question

Hi

Had my scoob for 3 months and been looking through Scoobynet for a couple of weeks now, so thought I'd better get a move on and register.

The meet sounds great and am v.interested in coming along, but I wouldn't want to hold any of you fast boys & girls up. Is this a good meet to come to, or would it be better to wait for a more 'relaxed' event?

Nico

Right,

after reading all the 'I don't want to go so fast' responces, why don't we split the cars into groups of 6, so that the convoy is easier to manage.

We could have a group of cars who don't want to drive so fast and take a more leisurely pace.

Thanks

Sonu(after the last blast, I had poo poo in my pants )

Hear, hear. I've just got my scoob and am still getting used to driving it. I don't particulary want to run before I can walk, so to speak!
I want to meet up with everyone but I don't want to hinder the - er, more experienced nutters!

cheers

Nutters, quite! I've not yet managed to make a run yet, and it looks as though I won't be able to make this one, though I might be down the beach (pebbly end) at Camber though on the date in question, depends on the weather.

Lordlucan,
nice idea, will have to check with suzy and see what she says.

Might not be a problem with me coming down as the kids might be staying at grandparents on sunday.

Suzy may even drive down

She's a better driver than me anyway!

KRIS/Justin
Where is the 'biker cafe' in Rye? what is it called (big time doh! on my behalf it's biker cafe!)

The only Biker cafe in Rye is on the mini roundabout were you join the Hastings road, there is a car park adjacent that runs adjacent to the river, most w/e filled with bikes and a decent chippy, the Kettle O Fish nearby.
Naf description I know !! but you cant miss it.

Markus - Let me know if you fancy being my co-pilot, might even let you have a spin !

RIGHT...Now look here.

I`ll have none of this whimpish fannying about. The only pussies I want to see are the ones that go `meeeow`!

..and on a more serious note,It might not be a bad idea to run two groups however the draw backs are that you will have to meet even earlier to get there in time and you may not take the correct route. Alternatively, if you dont want to go mad then meet direct at the cafe in RYE and ask one of the peeps going out for a ride .Then you can make up your own mind..... simpl innit ???

Not many days to go now. I will not be doing pace notes this time unless people desparately want them, mainly because the route to RYE still hasnt been decided as I dont know what time we will ACTUALLY get away( someones always late!) and the weather conditions.

Its late and I`m sleepy

sweet dreams

What do you think the likelyhood of PLOD being about? seeing it's a B/H weekend and biker heaven?

The bell thingy sounds a laugh I`ll try anything. Not much chance of the chopper being up as to fly this early would need a ` call out` if ya know what I mean. BUT yes they can do you for speed if they are bored with nought else to do, REMEMBER look around as well as up!

I think Justin was going to be at the Cafe at 9am so dont be at jct 10 then, cause you`ve missed the boat mate.

****** times will be clarified and finalised on Thursday *********

It's Thursday and were waiting!

Won't be there for the run down, and still not sure if I'll be in Rye or not, but rest assured, you'll hear the beast a comin' if I do turn up! just look for the most unclean black WRX Wagon you've ever seen, with the channel tunnel hanging underneath and you'll know it's me!

hope to see you all on sunday. Just remember to play nicely with the Supra boys!

Cool

3 days to go , who's gettin' excited then???

Final details on timing for those
meeting at M20 junc 10 or Rye cafe:

M20 Southbound come off junc 10
(beware Gatso vans on bridges)
Take 4th exit of junc 10 to Brenzett
Down dual carriageway, about 1 mile
straight on at first roundabout.
About 2 miles down dual carriageway
next roundabout turn left then left
at every roundabout till you end up at the
back of Tescos car park.
I'll be there at 8am in "Big HKS", so say
hello!
We are leaving Tescos at 8.30 sharp
ETA Rye at 9.00am.

Keep my mobile just in case 07931 879908

Ill be there in my supe come rain or shine,
and *NO* need to be gentle on the supra
boys (unless its raining).

Regards,
Fellow petrolhead

Hopefully, soon, I can get shot of my
pile-o-****e Rover214 and buy an imprezal,
then I can play in the wet too.

See You Sunday,
I think supras will outnumber scoobies

OH pants, oh pants, oh pants, oh pants ;

I have just been told that I have to work this Sunday morning starting at 7.30am . I am not very happy. Of all the Sundays its this one. The run is still going ahead but I wont be there to take part.

The Orpington meet is still scheduled for 7.30am at the ESSO ( as per previous page with map ). The supra boys will be at the cafe at 9am with any scoobies that go straight there.

All I can say is ` enjoy yourselves ` I shall be thinking of you all having a right old hoot !

OK after finally getting round to reading this thread...Markus did tell me about it,just been too busy stealing his car and driving round camber roads to add my reply.
Lord Loucan I have to say and hope I don't offend but what a sexist remark about Markus coming with you and me going to camber 'if he trusts me with the car'well excuse me but I think that my driving of the scoob around the roads to camber is far better than Markus could ever do..lol Anyway enough said I think we may see you all sunday depends if I can drag Markus's body out of bed

SuzyQ

Wasnt meant in a sexist way at all, just a suggestion as I would not drive fast if I had kids in the car, saying that im a large kid !
May see you Sunday, if not look out for me around Langton / Rusthall way..
