Its either got, or will have by remap time,

a full decat including up pipe,
JR panel filter,
STi TMIC,
vf28 turbo,
grade 6 NGK platinum plugs.

Anything else I should consider that`d tie my mods together? ie fuel pump, injectors?
Im personally hoping to be comfortably above 300bhp really.

Cliff
Got near enought the same spec of what your thinking, but Ive got STi injectors and uprated fuel pump.

The only reason I decided to put the injectors on was that the VF28 turbo runs min 280bhp on other standard scoobys like P1 and Type R etc, and Ive got 380cc injectors standard on my WRX which max out at near 270bhp, kind of made me think that everything could be running on there limits, So last miniute decided to add some STi injectors to get the best out of the turbo and other mods I had fitted.

There is a Shell station hidden just round the corner.
Can't give you directions as I can't remember how to get there, but those guys should know.

Yep there is Optimax in town.
From our place go through Northway and then to it via the country roads (NSL )

Thinking of a Christmas pressie for myself. Have a UK MY98 with "green" air filter and decat downpipe. That's all the mods.

Is the 23rd available?

Yes. Christmas is the the cut off date (i.e Friday 23rd)

Is the 23rd available?
Could be (I'm at home now) but by the time I'd got back to you, you picked up the PM and had time to reply to me the space could have gone.
Best to ring work ASAP on 01684 296675 to find out and book it there and then.

being a 98 it's possible it cant be done (because of it's age) has it got a (OBD connector) black socket on the lower part of the dash under the steering column. If it has you're in luck.

Only just seen your replies - thanks. Is this the same black socket you join with a male connector to do an ECU reset (ie, along with the green wires). In which case it has got one. If not then I'll check first thing tomorrow. What does the OBD connection look like?

I'll ring the number tomorrow to make a booking if I find this OBD thingy.

James

No no not under the dash.. on th lower dash front should be an oblong socket that looks similar to this.

Bad news. Checked with ECUtek. Even though I have the OBD socket, my car is to old for the ECUtek. Apparently you can check by looking at the air flow meter housing. If it's got a square top its to old. If it's a round top it can take the ECUtek.

You'll have to buy a newage if you want to do that.

But you dont need a scooby to go past a newage WRX, if you've read some of the threads on here, all you need is a Clio sport.

As long as you've booked it in, even for the new year, you're fine, but you need to 'book' it on/before the 23rd..... and yes, the my99's are ideal to be remapped with ecutek....

I think 300 will be pushing it, Id say around 260bhp with the mods you have in place, dont forget the td04 turbo runs out of puff at about 280bhp, If you want 300bhp you need to change the turbo, decat the rest of the system and change the fuel pump.

But even with the mods you have in place and a remap, you will notice the differance.

Ive got one of the old Piggy Back style PPP's for my MY01 WRX.

Can this be remapped? Or is it locked?

I'd be interested if it can be remapped - i'd want the de-cat doing at the same time
