Is anyone else interested in jumping on board this group buy ???

We shall be keeping it alive for another week or two yet.... I have had a few pm's from members that are interested but can't commit at this moment but if anyone else wants to order please feel free to join in

As long as there is interest we will try to keep it going for as long as possible and I want to make sure everyone is 100% happy before we close it down

I was, got soaked through! Worth it though, they look nice on the white car.
Got a bit of rubbing on the back, on 17"s(!?). Think the car is too low, thats how it was when i bought it, havent got the time, or money to change the suspension at the moment though.

God your keen !! it's tropical out there lol

Rubbing on 17's ?? I'm no expert by a long way but your suspension must be shot... are you running standard ? the shocks may be gone or the springs or both, I have never heard of 17's rubbing before maybe one of the other guys can be more helpfull on this.

My wheels were waiting for me when I got home last night - Silver Grey SDRs look great!

Now all I need is my car back from the bodyshop so I can see them on it!

Thanks again guys - just need the wheelnuts now.

Hi Dibbley.... I've added you on the list matey, I don't think you will have any troubles with rubbing but Julian can advise you better.
I have H&R springs on mine they are advertised as a 50mm drop, in reality the car has dropped 25-30mm and I have had no problems with them at all.

I am very pleased to hear you have them at last there... couriers have a habit of screwing everything they touch up.
Looking forward to seeing another yellow scoob with new wheels !!

Unwrapped & checked mine over when I got home last night - no obvious marks so TNT must have been kind to me! can't wait to get them on the car.

A difference on the balance weights mildly concerns me - 2 of the wheels have between 65 and 75g of lead on one side and 30g on the other side as a counterbalance, yet one wheel only has 10g total - is this usual? What could cause such an imbalance?

Cheers,
Steve

Its the difference in the tyres, rather than the wheels..

Spin a rota wheel on the balancer and they are dead even..

they have actually stopped using lead now, and are using a lighter material, which unfortunatly means that the weights are bigger...

surely the tyres are supposed to be the same? Didn't realise they could be the cause of it....

Horico you nutter
You were in such a rush to post up your pics again that you cocked up the links...

dont worry I saw them the first time and your car was the one i was referring to.
Looks great...only problem is becuase they are all nice and shiny, it makes your bodywork look shabby (joking)

I should have expanded on my question, I have a DBM and was wondering if anyone has ordered the silver with my colour car???
No..great then I will be unique

(note to julian..please refuse to sell any more GRA models to DBM owners ...a crisp fiver is in the post already )

it's not all bad though....I'm given encouragement by the fact that it's been suggested that work use my car for a ladies calendar .........the wheels make it look that little bit nicer .....

Ahhh mystic tony here

Sorry to hear about the witch indoors restricting your access to your cleaning products. do what i did, dump the wife and make your spare room dedicated to car cleaning products

Like the comment of the calender...just make sure they want to use the car with its new big wheels (sure there is a message there) and not do a calender girsl on you and want to use you in the calender in your birthday suit

Could be a good group buy haha.

Only an idea at the mo - the calendar is going ahead, just whether to use the car or not...

My backup Idea was a charity bikini carwash....would be lovely in November....nice and chilly....
