What's the state of this at the mo?

I'm looking at 290mm rear discs from Ian and the calipers/pads from a sale on here, plus brackets from Dyney?

Anyone know?

 

Had a chat with Ian and sorted out front 4 pot upgrade

 

I have been trying to get hold of Ian, though no reply..think he may be busy...payment sent and recieved...

very desperate for the Discs now...

 

Just had a reply...

For people who paid items have left today...mine will be leaving tommorw

 

Spoke to Ian today , 4ndy , he's not had an order from you yet and has replied to all your emails , Sam , your payment was received today , so your discs will be sent tomorrow , he's so busy I had to make my own cup of tea !

 

Will get the cheque sent in the post tomorrow as im doing this for my dad and will pass on ians address etc.

Okay...so i think many of us have already ordered from Ian, if you have not, please make the payment ASAP.

This groupby will be closing on the 16th and all orders must be placed soon after.




Ian will be out of the country from tommrow (Thursday) and returning on the 16th (Sunday), hence will not be replying to emails untill his return.

Hope he posts my stuff before he goes, went for a bit of a thrash last night and my brakes have had it !!

Ian just called me, my brakes were posted today so hopefully should arrive tomorrow

He only got the payment yesterday so that is pretty quick service

I recieved my Discs....

Are there coated in something? (as they look very shiny) Do these change to a dull silver once used...

Reason i ask, is one disc, half side looks dull compared to the other side.

Yes they are coating in zinc , where the pads sit it will wear off straight away , but the rest of the discs stays covered and wont go rusty , otherwise the gap between the bell and where the pads touch would go rusty straight away , keeps them looking nicer through the wheels

Also any idea what the torque setting is for the Godspeed Brembo's?

My old disc seems to be stuck and can not seem to get it off...any ideas?

 

My 2 piece STI discs and DS2500 pads arrived today

If they perform half as good as they look I will be very happy

 

Managed to change tge Discs...and noticed that my pads are little more worn then i thought!!!!

Where can i get Either EBC Red stuff or DS2500 pads from tommrow in the London area....Very desperate for em...


Also what is the pad size....

Ordered and paid the week before last then had email from Ian saying to expect them on Tues/Wed this week but nothing yet!

 

Yeah, i paid agessss ago, yet my orders last out the door.. Should get mine Tuesday next week, good job im not in a hurry

Yep still waitin as well, over two weeks now, Ian did say they were in stock when i ordered but still nothing arrived and no replies to emails.

 

i posted last night in my wife's username, "thebetterhalf"

i need these asap so cant wait that long, heard there are a lot of delays when ordering brakes.

sorry i will need to sort this elsewhere.

 

Guess I was lucky, I have received excellent service from Ian he has replied to all of my mails promptly, he received my payment on Tuesday (building society cheque so it cleared straight away) and I got my brakes on Thursday. Sorry some of you haven't been quite so lucky

 

when i rang ian said he was out at jersey rally this weekend so i presume he left fri back mon then start posting goods out,he also has to wait for cheques to clear-slower than you think. i also make sure that i can wait if delays rather than expect new brakes asap

No Ian has been off since wednesday afternoon , gone to the Jersey rally and will be back in tomorrow , so thats why you havent had any replies , he did tell Sam to pass on he was going away so people would not start complaining or worrying , looks like it didnt work
