crack and cocaine are two different drugs, you don't snort crack. as for addiction levels, cocaine is on a par with alcohol, that other widely used recreational drug.

Er, exactly the same drug surely, just in a different form. That's why it's called "crack cocaine". The free base form is simply absorbed more quickly.
