Hello

I've met Kate Moss, and she is pretty if you like that kind of look (I do). But when she opens her mouth, oh dear, common doesn't even cover it.

I would disassociate or at least not say ones a consequence of the other with coke use when your talking about stealing cars mugging grannies and being scum. Obviously there is that element however there is another one. Im 23, go clubbin, out, usual stuff and dont particularly think nothin of the situation purely because its so common and i see it so much, and im talking about middle class, early 20's, got jobs, got their own cars, etc and go out spend theyre money on a bit of sniff. So muchso that its probably the majority rather than the minority amongst some circles.

Like i said i dont really think nothing of it as these people arnt theives they have respectful jobs. On the other hand if i was in the pub and someone came in stoned, pilling or anything else id instantly think druggie, dont wanna even look at you or talk to you. Coke is a very common thing and people dont realise how much it is unless your on the going out scene.

Whilst not defending what Kate did there is a lot of people in the media/entertainment who take coke - imho.

If she was a male rock star then no-one would bat an eye lid. Yes she advertises clothes, etc to a younger audience but if you removed all the drug takers fromn the screen and advertising then there would be hardly any singers, rappers, musicians or film/tv stars left - IMHO

Is Ian Blair taking a personal interest in Miss Moss's alleged drug taking?

If so he has bigger, more inportant things to worry about IMHO!

The papers don't care about anything except selling papers.

I think that the idea of throwing all junkies in Jail is immoral TBH! I don't take drugs, drink or smoke (not any more), so I am not biased.

I think that most "junkies" - i.e. people who HAVE to take drugs to get through life, have a disease (as alcoholism is), and they need HELP, nut punishment! Fair do's, I know they got into it of their own accord, but if my life turned in certain ways, perhaps I could not guarantee that I wouldnt have to take some form of chemicals to "dull" pains? In fact, the idea of something that "chills" me out is quite tempting (although a temptation I will never take up due to the dangers), I have never really seen the temptation in "uppers" tbh!

I agree that most drug money will, at some point go to a crime syndicate (so Hollywood has taught us), so perhaps there is a case for legalising and putting on prescription these chemical "****-you-ups", at least then, dosage, and constituents can be monitored, and as people will need to go to shrinks to get the stuff, new "users" may never be introduced?

Oh, and how the **** can they prove what the mounds of white stuff were from a picture - perhaps she has a fervent "icing sugar" habit!

Lee and Chip are quite right. If she is let off then what kind of a message is that to young children? It is very bad for you and it ruins too many lives to be just swept under the table.

Standards have been allowed to slip so far now that I cannot see how we can ever catch up and things are set to deteriorate into complete anarchy. You only have to look at the change for the worse generally over the last few years to see which way it is going. It certainly is a great mistake to shrug the shoulders and say what can we do anyway. Maybe, just maybe it might be possible to recover the situation with a bit of political will and the right kind of education. Letting it all slide is not the answer.

lol... So what???? some people on here. Was it a suprise? no! who cares? its not like shes a council estate druggie who will be looking to rob a house to fund the habit. the people they want to get are the idiots supplying to the young uns... If your rich and afford it. do as you please I say. Cant bang on about the role model stuff either because if the Daily Mirror didnt print this boring rubbish the youth of today who look up to her probably wouldnt even know not like she does it whilst walking down the cat walk is it.

The irony is that the Mirror want to expose this woman and show she is a terrible role model for the young.

Except the only way most of the young get to know that she's got a coke habit is due to - erm - the exposé in the Mirror...

Yep, all the mirror cares about is volume of papers sold and market share.

My gym has the mirror as one of its freebee rags, saw today's headline - "Kate Moss's carrer in ruins" (or similar) they are ringing every last drop out of this.l
Is the Mirror publishing helpline numbers for drugs agencies, etc, no. They DNGAF!

what about the England Cricket team who got plastered after winning the ashes? (quite right they did too). All those young people looking up to them thinking it's now Ok to throw booze down their necks?

Point is if she wants to do it then let her. She is not resposible for anybody elses children.

Too much PC bullsh!t these days where everybody wants to blame somebody else or something else for their problems.

The babysitter?

You never been out and got wasted on Alcohol leaving your kiddy (presuming you have one?!?) with the babysitter/granparents etc????

If the kid was sat next to her whilst snorting it then fine there'd be something to shout about but to be honest. Let her do what she likes. If she has a bad addictiion she'll soon show it when her nose disintergrates

The problem is that it's far too widespread for zero-tolerance now.

What a waste of time and resources. If the Police were serious about this issue then the effort wasted on this 'investigation' would be better spent preventing the drugs from ever getting into the country but as that would entail real policing rather than something that is a done deal it probably won't happen.

Actually, I had a thought along those lines. Old Mr Flintoff looking completely blasted stepping onto the bus and the journalists are asking the kids who they are waiting for and they say "Freddie".

My first thought was I wouldn't want my child meeting or indeed seeing their hero completely pi$$ed.

However, its OK becuase alcohol is legal and the man did a great job winning the ashes (couldn't give a stuff about cricket myself).

Kate Moss who has done nothing worthwhile for the country gets caught with coke up her nostrils and shes the devil encarnate.

Complete twoddle!!!!

I think stuff like this just shows how much middle England lives with it's head in the sand. go out for a night out and just see how many people are waiting for a cubicle on a night out. They all don't need a dump!

agreed, drugs are rife nationally and for the vast majority its a social thing...used on a night out just like Miss Moss. The only reason this has made the papers is because it makes great headlines which shifts the ****e from the news stands and that is the ONLY reason.

pmsl at the comments on here "throw her in jail", what’s that going to achieve and what would happen if that same logic was applied every time someone was busted for using or possessing...can you say overpopulated prisons?

drugs are like anything else, some people will take it too far but for the majority its just another small part of their lives...ffs look at how seriously some people on here take their cars.
