Remember that this car needs to run on Shell Optimax as an absolute minimum and itll benefit from a decent octane booster too. Dont be tempted to see how fast itll go; itll be 112MPH, but itll probably blow up if you keep that up for too long. Fuel will be the deciding factor there.

My choice would be Nitrous Formula Race (in the black bottle); using 50ml - 60ml per tank. Millers isnt too bad either, its appears to be cheaper to buy, but you use a lot more per tankful.

so whats the action grade of the car, it might be an alright one , but been and seen these auctions, i have never seen any of these cars that r still on all there original paint and panels, loads with tab burns ,none of the milages r guarenteed, all of the auction reports i saw where either r , o, oa, coverd in xx's and squiggles, ultimatley, means that they not a decent motor, seen these kind of cars sell in japan for less than £200 plus agent fees, some people may have hit lucky in getting a decent one , but most of these dock auction motors r on ebay, cos there owners have found out that they have bought a clocked and cloutted flat four fridge freezer, the cars shipped over here that r destined for dock auctions r bulk bought in japan , just cos they have an auction report dont mean to say that they were sold at the jap auction , as i said they r bought in bulk consignments and r sometimes bought after the auction if they didnet sell to a reputable agant, importer ,dealer, private individual, i have heard of some of these cars selling for £50 quid , especially if its been some bodys track motor and is out of shaken, which means its not fit for the jap roads, these r the facts ,dont want to offend anyone , but like gc8 has quoted the info provided is to help someone avaoid buying a ****ter

RA's don't seems to be that popular do they....

I love mine, though it's a bit of a bind on the motorway, however I do get some good economy out of it when off boost.

Took it for MOT last year, ended up spending over 6.5k on it & there's plenty more to do before i've finished.

It's fun now!!!

I can't see how anyone can criticize the purchase when they have not seen the car. There have been six white wrx / ra's at Southampton for months, and I expect they dropped the price even loosing to get rid.

We arent criticising either the car or the purchase; we're simply pointing out that a decent car of that year costs at least as much as the purchaser has paid in Japan. By the time that car has landed here and is in free-circulation it will cost twice what the fellow has paid, at least..... The inference is that it cant be that good; which is backed up by facts, my experience and now oscarprezza's too...

as stated earlier i am not out to mock anyone , but the high grade very good condition cars r fetchingtop prices in japan at the moment as they r getting very scarce, this is because it is not just the uk that r into jap motors , the kiwis, aussies and the likes have been into them for years , canada and the usa r in to them big time , also the russians and indians now !!!!!!!, take a look at www.tau-net, if you want to see where alot of the ebay , K??????? trade centre motors come from, the tau prices have almost doubled in the past year to to the popularity of buying low grade , accideant damaged , high kms jap scrap, to make a quick buck!!!!, alot of the motors on this web site have actually been through auctions and r that crap they didnt sell so they are sold through this site, i wouldnt buy a new screw off them !!! also try another site www.gbautotrader they sell cheap accident damaged motors too, also high kms too,

MY own cars have always been purchased in japan through a jap agent who is a director of a very reputable japanese dealer in kawasaki with over 20 years motor trade exp, it took him three months to find my present sti version 3 and that was with stipualtions of being grade 4 minimum , 1 owner , non smoker , fsh, sensible extras ( so it would be to hard to get through the esva) never had any paint or panels, had abs and all factory options didnt have a pond in the boot , wasnt from a wet area in japan still had a clutch in it etc,

to top this all off i am now selling her due to track car venture and i literally cant give her away , she literally would put most cars to shame and would be very hard to find one in as mint condition so there we have it, look at the sites above and u will see where alot of the ****ters come from apart from the dock auctions !!!!!

What u have there bud is a very good base to build a great car.Lighter car,DCCD,shorter gears, better diffs, much better engine block. Really stronger car to base a build on.
