None, bringing out the drinks maybe??
Thorpe anyone??
He may not have made all of the tests due to his girlfriend being ready to drop a sprog around the 2nd/3rd test but he would have scored more in the innning he'd have played and this series would be over 3-1 already simple as that.

but there is always the second innings to make amends and yep i know its a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong shot but you never know?
This total is going to be too low. the Aussies will push past 400 I'm pretty certain. A lot of pressure on our bowlers.

Too early to panic
Too early to say at this stage, not nervous yet. Wait for the weekend weather to intefere.
Wasn't it Peter Such (of Essex, yeah!) who batted for a whole day for something like 5 runs. Thats what we needed today.

Yeah, can't see why they've taken light when they need a WIN
Raining now though.
Can anyone tell me why our better batsmen don't attack Warne like Langer is attacking Giles?

And to be fair, have a look at the Aussie cards and see how many times c Bell appears on them, a fecking sight more often the c G Jones does
. Every bugger else whose fielded in close has either spilled 'em, or not even seen the ball fly past them.
It's not just his spectacular drops we are complaining about though, in any event they've stuck with him for the time being so lets hope he pulls it around and gets a double hundred in the next innings.
Where's Funkii today?

Doing me little rain dance for the weekend, we need rain and lots of it with them at 112 for no loss
Simon Jones and Flintoff have been our key bowlers all summer and without Jones Flintoff isn't enough on his own.
Time for Hoggard to get one of his critical wickets with Langer looking very threatening.

Bloody irritating...
It rains, it stops. They come out for about 30 mins and then stop for lunch while it's dry. They return and it rains... It stops but they have to break for tea... and so it goes on...
Why don't they just continue to play until rain creates a break and then take lunch tea etc...?

Shh we need as much help from the rain as possible, they are looking at amassing a huge total and then Warne will bamboozle us for them to get an innings win. Rain for the rest of today, will take them a fair while tomorrow to catch up the 200 odd runs and then go on to get a big margin so hopefully we wont have to bat again until Monday morning/lunch time. Even then I wouldn't fancy surviving two sessions against Warne to draw the match.
LOL - I'm happy to eat my words as the pendulum swings back in our favour.
Flintoff 5 wickets for 37 runs conceeded, Warne out for 0 again!! Doesn't get much better than that.
