Got mine (spec r) for £350, been on a mate's scoob for 9 months before he decided to sell up, but the car did hardly any miles, you would guess it was brand spank to look at it.

I've got a recording I got from my phone, not that clever, but you get the basic idea.

Don't know how to post it though, can attach it to an email if anyone ones. Like I say though, it aint mint quality, I'll try to get a better one

Thomas12345: I'll offer £400? I can get a new one for £495 but thought I might try and save some money.

I found that: http://lib1.store.vip.sc5.yahoo.com/lib/fastwrx/blitzab.mp3

Basically that's the reason why I've posted this thread and what convinced me about the blitz: the sound is not as low pitched as the other exhausts, more on the sporty edge than muscle car, I loved it!
Only problem listening though the PC speakers: it hardly gives you an idea of how loud it can be, hence this thread...

I have a Blitz exhaust and with the bung fitted it is no louder than a Jetex system, it's perfectly acceptable and I'm an old git!
Without the bung it is waaaaaaaaay too loud.

tbh i hate the baffle, this is my 2nd nur spec r and this 1 is rattly like a previous lad said
it dont fit quite right and rattles like a ba5tard on tick over
also,IMO,it makes it way too raspy for my liking,sounds like a 1.1 saxo with 2x 5" pecos....lol

Mine sounds like This That is sitting still revving to about 4k revs, on a Type R with EL manifold, without bung.

With the bung in, it is extremely liveable! I can actually hear the subwoofer playing all notes if i have the bung in (with it out, I can only hear MAJOR thumps from the sub)!

motorway driving with a blitz is ok, exhaust resonates with body shell at lower speeds and is very bad inside at about 60mph once yo hit 80 (on track of course cough cough) is actually pretty quiet. went to northern big one with a mate in his typr r and that was ok, didn't have ringing in ears at end of the day. as said though just running round its damn noisy.

worth it for the look on your face when you drive by lol

Thanks for posting the soundclips guys, and keep em coming for those who have not yet decided which system to go for, they really do help.

I echo the sentiments of some of you on here. Nice exhaust, best of both worlds, but YEH...does it "RATTLE" !!! or what.. with the baffle in,especially on tickover.

I tried in vain to get a replacement Baffle for mine as I was convinced it was faulty but as is the case after you've bought things these days ! they didn't want to know !!! : ( No names mentioned but beware of sellers on E;Bay !

Exhaust does sound nice although is rather "raspy"with baffle in but too loud on long runs with baffle out ! but you have as I said got best of both worlds.

It does seem some peoples DONT rattle, maybe its luck of the draw but an exhaust of this cost/quality should'nt rattle at all in my opinion ! MOST ANNOYING !

Has anyone who has the same problem cured it in anyway ??? other than of course removing the baffle ! lets us in on the secret if so !

Cheers
Duracell
