Before it got written off the wife's Seat went in to VW's for some warranty repair. It was due a service and an MOT, so i aksed them to do an oil and filter change and MOT while it was there. Went to pick the car up and they presented me with a bill for £280 ???? I thought the car failed the MOT. No it sailed through. So i thought they misheard me and had given me a full service. No again just lubricant service as requested. So i don't think Rip Off's are exclusive to Scooby dealers

Hello mate, got a lot to tell you, I'm not moving in today. We've got a new place (fed up with being arsed about by the builder) but it's took some doing and we move in on the 19th fingers crossed. Oh and I've got a garage with the new one so if you want I'll do your pads to christen it

Try buypartsby.com they are sh@thot and do next day delivery if you need stuff quickly.

PM me your mobile if you want to as I'm in work so I haven't got mine on me

I'm lucky as one of my best mates runs a motor factors that sells direct to garages and dealers, so I can get all my parts for trade price plus £1 ( a technical thing as he isnt allowed to sell at proper trade ! ) - it also means I know exactly what mark up the robbing gits make on most of the parts they sell !

Got my new front disks and pads (EBC Reds) today from EBC (using scoobynet 15% discount) for 290 all in. Will fit them myself over the weekend.

A dealer did the same when I had a wrx and wanted near 300 for the privalige (but as they will not see the car for anther 10k they do these things a before the really need doing!) picked up 2 disks for 100 quid and as the pads were nearly new I kept them on. A couple of hours to swap them over.

They tried to do me for some Bridgestones also (140 each) when I could get them new for under 50 on here or ebay. Scooby ownership need not be that expensive!

Just read the service report and it says Front Pads - 60% worn - that means I still have 40% pad left and they tried to sell me new ones. I think like supertouring says cause they won't see me for another 10k miles they're trying to get my cash now
