Question, as the TMIC gets warm sitting in traffic, are you suggesting spraying the intercooler will be effective while standing still ? With no airflow will this not be ineffective ?, i ask because a number of ST185 GT4 owners with the air to air TMIC fit fans to draw air over them at standstill.

I think the rate of energy transfer is greater into water than air, so yes

I believe the specific heat capacity of the water/air mixture is greater and the thermal resistance is lower, however with no airflow, the spray would not really be carried effectively into the IC as it sprays the air flow, not onto the IC.
