Unfortunately not... it was for a pre MY97. Passed it on to mr ITWW who was looking for one and it went straight on to his 'N' reg. Made him a happy chap!
Im now running an HKS green mushroom thingy.
See you there,
James.

Yup, i will defo be there in the westfield, interested to see my engine torque curve when compaired to shauns cossie as we have very similar spec engines but i am now on 7.6:1 compression and a GroupA turbo, shaun is on 8:1 compresion and a big turbo escort cossie setup.
need some fat barstuards to keep it on the rollers, looking at that list i am sorted for that!

Once I buy a Sti I think I will be stuck with it. I like to change my car every few years and with the UK version I have never had a problem.
Stories of warrantee claim refusals have also frightened me off.
There are lots of advantages in having a UK car.
When driving across the Moors on the SW Meets I do not see any Sti’s or 22B’s going by the 3 UK cars that are always in the front. So perhaps I could call my car a performance car. You will have to join us on the next run just to see how a low powered car can go.

What next run? - never have ones - thats why I go up to the Northern ones - far more interesting with the occassional car crash
The South West events are a very sad affair - with very sad people at a very sad pub
(I am trying to be diplomatic here)
I know what your saying about the UK cars - much more convenient. I was thinking of getting one from Belgium a few months ago but thought that £14600 all in was a bit pricey - but hey its cheaper than £21k in the UK
Will wait on the new model - all my friends think it looks **** though - I tend to agree - a bit of a puffs car - like the Honda's/Toyota's went (rememeber the girlified CRX after the K reg and the new MR2)

Can I come ?
I've only got a standard UK MY98, guess I'm not going to win the highest power output on the day !
Any chance of knowing when it is, I'll have to organise staying with friends in Cheltenham for the day.
Gary
ps How does it work, I assume the Power station guys actually run the cars on the rollers and stuff ?, do we get a print out of the BHP/Torque curves ?

Date to be confirmed, but it will be sometime in November.....NICE & COOL!!!!
In the Next few weeks I will be confirming the date & drawing up a short list. I will ask everybody who wants to attend to send me a cheque (like last time).
All runners will receive a power run graph, showing there torque, bhp & boost figures.
Shaun.

I'd like to come too.
Would have to check the date though...
Is this sort of thing only for the modifiers and for Hot Impreza (etc) comparisons, or can we standard U.K. boys join in the fun?

I havent forgotten, and I will be finalising details over the next couple of weeks (as I have been getting a number of emails recently, asking). But I can confirm that it will be in November.
Shaun.
P.S. The only person I know that MAY take on my power crown will be John "THE BOG" Felstead. I don't know...............

Come on 6SSK You may as well come no one will beat the s**t out of you, but after all that arguing on a past topic it would be interesting to see if you live up to your word...
Phase one: rollers
Phase Two: get on the track and do 0-60 runs 0-100-0 runs and 1/4m runs
Phase three: get on a track day
I don't want to start another pointless argument but just good old competition..

As one of the few people who got semi-sensible figures with a Link last time, I guess I should come back and have another go :-)
But this time I will not be running a Possum Link.... and my engine won't be pushed as hard since it's a temporary unit. Well, if it ever gets put in the car that is... failing that I could run the diesel van just to highlight what low down torque is all about. LOL :-)
Cheers,
Pat.
