My thoughts exhactly, the pictures don't do the car justice at all... my only concerns are the rear lights... I can't quite take to them and also that boot badge would half to come straight off, the diffuser under the rear looks quite cool.... over all I am very impressed.

 

The wheels are too small and the front grill is off a Seat

Just been to power station today and cliff and I were in agreement on the looks of the new shape. we liked some bits, hated others, but overall its
However not everyone will like it.
The spec C was a great car, but i am sorry, for an extra £1000 and all the stuff you get stripped out, thin glass, bare boot etc.no thanks !!
The Sti on the other hand is very nice
Agree with some of the points above, ugly rear, big *** badge, no burble ,no improvement on the interior.
once again subaru has made a car that will divide us lot down the middle
(so no change there...)

oh and if you were wondering on what we shall call it (as most of the new models have been named after the lights ) well if you look closely at the bulge on the lights we have the name

FishEye

(though V5 man had his own name...Jap's eye dont see that one catching on somehow)

Yes baddermanns, it has an extra bit on the bottom aswell, but when you take that bit off, its the same as the 05. I've just ordered mine to go on when I pick the car up, colour coded though of course.

 

They just keep getting uglier with every incarnation IMHO, I'll keep my classic for a few years yet

These wont re-adjust, they will need octane booster and super unleaded to run safely in the uk, and even after the car is mapped, id still suggest the fitting of a knocklink just in case

As for the burble, well mine sounds like a rally car, the older models sound like a vw beetle gone wrong but its the way to go, and even with the cat i still get pops n bangs out of my Spec C (standard exhaust!)

People say they dont like the front,, I think Its the back lights and the window spoiler that spoil it a bit its too fussy + im not a fan of those type of lights, sholud have started on the Lexus and finished there too.

When you see this car in the flesh, some of the doubters *may* change their minds...... I did!

I took the car out for a test drive last week and gave it a bit of a pounding, and was very impressed (thanks to Litchfields)!

Now..... it's got to be a Spec C thats taken for granted, but shall I have the RA this time!?!

Get the Subaru Impreza WRX STi Spec C Type RA (what a mouthful), well you might as well

 

normally the imprezas have a dual exhaust,
so does this mean these ones are ppp ready?

 

These are Japanese versions, so PPP need not apply for a position!

Btw... twin tail pipes were from the classics.

I agree i dont like the rear lights.

 

i hate it until i just saw the black one, its looks the dogs.i think scoob factory is going to run out of black paint.rally blue does not even come close to looking as good as the black im afraid.all in all i think subaru will not be hurt by this design.(just)

 

Perhaps they did them like the classic STi ones...
