My wife still calls me her ex's name every now & then - after 4 yrs living together + 8 yrs of mariage

Worst is that for the 1st 5 years of our relationship her folks/brothers/reles did too Wife was seriously worried that her dad would call me that name in his speech at our mariage



At the start of our relationship though I was seeing 3 girls - Jean, Jeanette & Jenny. It all got very confusing after a while not only calling them the right name but remembering what had been said/done with each one

Yup. Simple solution is to never use their name! Alternatively give any other half a nickname, and of course they all get the same nickname!

I've called mine the dog's name when I've been annoyed with her, and also the dog has been called her name under the same circumstances - not happy hahaha
