I thought it resembled FarCry the game too but I think its just the similarity in the tropical Island setting.
The 16 year French distress signal was quite spooky. There are lots of different charachters they have left you wondering about which has kept the story line interesting for me plus the thing that kills people in the jungle. Alien? Animal? Dinosaur? The alleged polar bear is a clue but not a big enough one to give it away yet, well for me anyway.

Watched the E4 episode on Wednesday, BY FAR the best so far, getting brilliant now, Hurley is a quality character. Cant believe that was episode 17. Nothing has kept me so entertained before to watch 17 episodes of a program for so long. Cant wait for next week, trying not to buy the DVD and spoiler the only thing I watch on tv now....

I got the complete series 1 boxset via the states and its superb. Currently upto Episode 5 Series 2 now and have episodes 6,7 and 8 to watch this weekend.
Seen the full first series and loved it. Not quite up to 24 standards but I was hooked. I'm in love with the Kate lass. so so fine!!
I can't imagine the BBC or ITV making anything like it can you?!

I was hooked onto this, and watch the new episodes as they come out on www.craftytv.com, the new episodes stream straight to your pc, no need to wait for downloads etc...
Rumours have it that it all turns out to be a dream, which when you think about it sort of makes sense with all the little things that keep arising EG. people surviving when falling out the back of a plane 5 miles up, that lottery number coming out at every opportunity....
Someone told me this and i tell you what i was very disappointed, it had better not turn out to be that even though it does sounds true...sniffle

Please don't put spoliers in here even if they are jusr rumours. people who want to know what happenes etc can look it up on sites or just watch a soap where they tell you the story weeks in advance!

davegtt, I would recommend the boxset from the states. Not sure if they have been recorded in HDTV format but the picture quality is superb. Even better watching it in full widescreen through a cinema system. Movietyme are apparently the best/quickest to deal with. I got mine through Amazon.com and customs charged me £4something and the bleedin post office charged me a £4 handling charge, gits. Apparently movietyme avoid all this.

Didnt get round to watching number 17 on wednesday night, but am now looking forward to watching it after all the good comments made about this specific episode!
I too have been hooked since the beginning, absolutely love the series! I've heard good and bad things about the second series (not what happens, just about the series in general) so I'll just have to wait and see!

NO SPOILERS IN MY POST!
I am fed up with it.
I read all the spoilers from a us website and have to say that knowing what is happening it is utter rubbish!
Nothing actually happens.
From what I know they just seem to open up more and more interconnecting storylines but without closing any, I found that very frustrating.
I still watch it as the wife is hooked and I want to see what I know to be true coming to life, but I can't see it lasting. People will get frustrated that they don't know what is happening and they won't keep watching without getting answers.
Once they start to get answers, there will be no mystery to the Island and the program will finish.
I don't see how the writers can win ultimately, not without the program having a short life span.
I am fed up with it.
