Easier from Jn 25
I'm coming from middlestown - through Ravensthorpe and passing Mirfield - nice fill up at Shell Optimax for decent fuel on way to Old Cornmill!
Just hope weathers ok - looking unlikely!

Yup, that was me
If it gets back on the road, it's getting Traction Control fitted, cos' the ferocity of the rear-end twitch was frightening.
If it doesn't, I might go for something much more sedate and predictable ... maybe a Scooby

Hello all,
Would just like to thank all of you for attending, and I hope you all had a enjoyable time.
We managed 65 cars on the run, and two more Imprezas at the start who couldn't come on the run, but just came to say hello.
Thanks to Paul and Adge for bringing along a brace of 22b's for us lesser mortals to ogle.
Nice to see the Nissan 240/260Z's?, they brought back memories, the TVR Chimera, very tasty, Bren's very clean Cosworth Sierra (sorry about the tyre Bren), Bob T's Fiesta Si (he likes a mention), and obviously all the assorted Imprezas WRX's STi's, UK Turbo's and anything in between.
Thanks to Mark L from T & M Motors and Dave and Andy from Jap Innovations (that was their Transit at the entrance to the carpark)for their support as usual. You will find advertisment sheets for both companies in the folders I handed out, along with the Robinsons of Rochdale 17.5% discount voucher, which I hope will be of use to some of you.
Thanks to Scott for the ride in his RC Development heavily modified Impreza WRX, producing approx 400BHP.
It has a very smooth power delivery, which remains constant right through into 5th gear.
It is quite deceptive, as you don't realise how hard it's accelerating in 5th until he lifts the throttle, and you go forward in your seat.
The push in the back is there all the time you are accelerating.
Thanks to Micheal Townend (Super Slider) who collected £100 selling raffle tickets, of which £50 is going to a Cancer Charity, and £50 went to Scotts passenger, the chap from RC Developments (sorry I didn't get your name), who obviously went home with a big smile on his face.
The view from the carpark, mid way round, was spectacular for those of you that stopped to look, but it was very windy.
All in all,m I had an enjoyable and thankfully uneventful day, and I trust you all had some of the same.
MTR himself (my son Matthew) wasn't able to attend today, but has been giving me the third degree as to who did, in what car etc
Cheers MTR

well as much as i enjoyed the last one i couldn't be there this time as my new motor isn't ready yet (MGZR160), a week late due to quality control, wont be as quick as my old 97R turbo but what the heck, should be run in for the next meet, see you there

Rob
Thanks to MTR
I was very glad to see a high standard of driving...this was my first meet and I was a little wary of driving in convoy at high speed on wet roads. Despite "pressing on" with enthusiasm I was happy to see cars keeping a good distance apart, especially the one behind me! Good to see too that the leaders slowed us all down for a couple of dodgy bits.
Thanks to MTR for organising the run, impressive to see the map packs etc and the voucher for Robinsons. Well done.

Another good un' Martin, quite pleased with the weather, as it gave me a chance to get the back-end out on numerous ocassions, much to the excitement of Heather who was quite impressed

Cheers MTR for a well organised day.
Really enjoyed it. As someone said before though, shame about the caravans and Sunday drivers. I'd love to do the run again when it's dry to really give it some hammer!
Some very impressive cars there too. The credit card will be getting some pain this month
Cheers

Facking Fubulous

Myself and Student Bloke had a brilliant time. Some of those crests and hairpins sure made my back end twitch
(Mine not the cars
) and quickly cured Student Bloke's hangover
Thanks alot for sorting it Martin, I reckon that now i've seen how it's done, it won't be long before Midlands Meet 1 hits the shelves.
Thanks also to Dave from Jap Innovations for sorting out my Downpipe and Andy in his Series McCrae for giving me summat to chase on the route
(Maybe that Spoiler was creating too much Drag eh
)

Another excellent day out. A sensible pace kept considering the conditions, had one sideways moment and the odd bit of wheel spin.
The route certainly gave the suspension a good work out as well as the brakes.
Downhill at 80-90 over blind crest into 90 degree bend, brakes don't work very well with front wheels in the air!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only negative points were the "Sunday drivers" on snake pass and the police giving priority to some cycle event.
Well worth the trip from Worcester.
When's the next one?
Jon
