Only one team of sherpas banshi? You must be economising. Have you not thought if one team gets attacked in the night or lured away by the volumptuous Paula? Oh hang on, hold off the second, Mellow will be too busy with the fair maiden to worry about that scenario

Where do we need to avoid then?

Actually, I want to go back to the hotel you used and meet this gullable sod you keep telling me about.

Another possible suggestion here is in the light of the unfortunate accident Phil and I were involved in The locals may be on alert at yet more Scoobies deafening the countryside..........a leisurely pace I hence urge people to take heed and comply. As if it is anything like Scotland, your number will be taken and reported!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is of course no excuse on my behalf to lesson the pace I am more than happy to show peeps how my car will go, I just gotta get used to its cornering habits and "bouncy" suspension Which is geting replaced with a stiffer one ASAP!!!!!

Phil, are you coming along? If so, more than happy to pick you up.........just drop me a mail or txt, similarly if I remember I will mail you myself!!!

See you there.

Bud, although once past Pooley Bridge we're not really in the Lakes anymore.

I think most of the 'trouble' was in the OAP district in the south of the lakes (Ambleside/Grange-over-Sands) & in Grizedale.

You ain't doin that bit so you should have less bother

Once past Pooley Bridge the caravans/coaches/morris minors/VW caravettes/push-bikes/etc. start to thin out & it gets much more fun

Heatwave forecasted this weekend folks
Caravans, motorhomes, cars with the fish sign....none of them bother me, if I cant get around them I go over them.....but you already know that
Is no-one else camping ? I would but have prior arrangements.
Can we all remember to fuel up at the Shell garage at Windermere (SUL) before we drop down to Bowness then on to the meet point (chris, butter on your hands, feet and tyres may help this time )
No modded suspension so I'll have to make do with what I've got till next time !
Rolling road at Well Lane tomorrow morning, I'll ask at the same time about a group discount/shootout for later in the year.

I will take the oppotunity on Sunday to explain how your directions were wrong!

I think I know the hotel in question, but I probably make the effort to meet up with somebody on the way up so I have somebody else to blame if we miss it.

If I can get more than 2 hours sleep, which didn't help for the first trip, I'll try and meet you somewhere .

Guys,
is this The Lakeside Hotel at Lakeside about 1 mile from Newby bridge on the West shore of Windermere or a lakeside hotel somewhere else? Either way neither of them are on the A590?
Is it just me that's confused???

Is Michelle WRX always this excitable??

Doh !!!
Sorry Pete, your manor mate so you know it best, basically take the road out of Bowness towards Newby Bridge and the hotel is approx 2 miles down on the right hand side, park cliffe campsite is about another mile on the left !
Hope this is clear now.

Can you resist the call, were running with three fast ladies this time or if that don't press the right buttons we can offer a rough biker instead

Pete, u need a little more time in the Muppet Forum. From my vague recollection u r the wrong side of the pond. Hotel is in close proximity to the camp site ...07966234929 if u can't find us

At the risk of sounding like a right numbskull the only Lakeside Hotel listed in the South Lakes phone book (and the one ChrisB's link refers to is on the B road between Newby Bridge and Hawkshead on the Western side of Lake Windermere. This can't be the one as the camp site is on the East side of the lake. So whats the meet hotel really called??
Is this some kind of initiation test?
