Bob T,
No the route does not finish at the services,
but you will be able to pick up the M62 and head back to the services after the finish.
I will not be disclosing the finish point for everyone security, but there will be instructions on how to pick up major roads/motorways on the route sheet I hand out.
You will not find yourselves in the back of beyond, without any idea how to get home.

Why not go to Gilly and Daves house and leave your car there, and pick it up when they go home.
Probably a little safer than leaving it unattended for a few hours on a services, given that a lot of people read this BBS, and know what sort of car you drive.

Cheers MTR

MTR, I forgot to mention, both the Corse are driven by Daves! Confusing I know! The thing is Dave blue corse is coming from leeds area straight onto the M62 and I'll be coming via Colne etc with DW and others. I don't suppose it really matters, we'll have to see what happens on the day! I wouldn't want anyone to miss out on the awesome sight that is my car!! You'll all be blown away by it's mind numbing (ly boring) preformance!

DW I've got my name in stickers too hehe

Bob

PS I seem to have the last post on two pages now woohoo

Bob,
No problem about leaving your car at our place if you want. As Dave will be driving the Corse and I'll be in the Scooby there'll be plenty of room to get you to Birch. I presume you'll be hitching a ride with Dave in the blue Corse....Hope you've got good nerves and life insurance!!!!

Cheers

Hi,
Would like to come along with my '97 Legacy GT-B. It's a manual version with 280 bhp and standard except for a few bits.

Dream Weaver, glad you've got sorted with a decent motor at last Don't forget to e-mail me with details of where to meet up (I presume you're still meeting in Preston?) I've been trying to sort out a BTCC style window name thingy as well I'm also bringing my camcorder along too, hope to get some good footage

Charley, I think the plan is to meet at Prestons BMW rather than Preston! I'll be coming from Skipton, I presume you'll be passing?

Dream Weaver,

i had an MR2 back in the early 90's - a T-Bar. One of my favourite motors of all time (looks good, handles well, goes fast, is reliable, seven speakers as standard - though your's is probably eight). Nice choice, and hope to see you at NM5!

Cheers,

mb

Chu,
Of course I remember you, you mad impetuous fool you.

Well at least you can get an extra 30 minutes in bed, seeing as the start point is a little later than last time.

Just an idea, you might be able to get a room in one of the Travelodge hotels for the night for £20, in this area.

If you phone the main booking number 08700 850 950, and ask if they have any special deals on, they may offer something.

Don't ring the hotel itself, as they told me that they cannot offer special deals.
And there is a Travelodge Hotel at Birch Services.

Me the wife and children stayed over at Shrewsbury in January, and we got a family room for £20 instead of the usual £40.

You could travel up on Saturday, take your wife around the Trafford Centre and spend even more money

Anyway, If you come up, I will see you on Sunday.

Cheers MTR

Pramrace,
To post a reply, look at the top of the page, where you will see two large icons.
One says 'REPLY' one says 'NEW TOPIC'.
To reply to an already running post, you click on to the REPLY icon, not on the reply with quote at the top edge of my post.

Could you please edit your posts, by clicking on edit/delete message icon (it looks like a pencil and paper)along the top edge of YOUR reply, to remove the 'quote' which includes the car list, as it wil contradict the main list at the start of this topic, on my post, which I update continually.

I presume you are thinking of attending then?
Good.

Cheers MTR

Hi MTR

After an invite from moz.g, I'll be tipping up in a Y2K Nissan 200SX.

Now don't you all be going too fast through the twisty bits with your fancy four wheel drive gubbins !

Birch is just 5 minutes away from me and as a new member it would be a crime not to pop along. If it looks dodgy weather then my new MY01 UK turbo will be there or if its fine is my Ducati 916 ok? Well it is Sunday.

I was at NM4 in a MY97 Reddish blur turbo.

If I've still got the time on Sunday I'll be there in a 97 TVR Cerbera 4.2, so slow through the twisty bits for me too!.

Still, you should hear me set off from Cheshire as it's that blinkin loud!

Phil.

Moz,

Based upon the number of times I've been to the Wirral this year, it may as well be a galaxy far, far away !

Ducati Dave, if it's fine a mate of mine will be on his R1, could be intersting!

Andy, I'm in the Fiesta, we can tag along at the back if you like! Anyway, as it says at the top, it's not a race, plus I'd really like to keep my license!
