Not to sure which route to take.I suppose it will depend on where people want to meet up (if anyone else joins us that is).Best for me is M56,M6 then M62.What about you?

P.S. Are you the Graham that John Fesltead told me owns the STI 2DR I've seen a couple of times?

Sadly I do not own a 2DR STI
I would normally go through the tunnel to L'POOL and take the M62 but it's just as easy for me to go M53,M56,M6,M62.
Do you want to meet at the Chester services just past junction 14 on the M56 about 8:30?

I might not be able to make the meet now due to one of the rally teams I work for are a man short this weekend and I have been asked to go, if I can get back from the Northeast in time I will otherwise have a bloody good day. Also if I can not make Birch Services can some one drop me a line as to were I can find you later in the day off the list.

I'm travelling up to go out in Nottingham on Saturday night so thought I would combine this with the meet on Sunday - result!
Hopefully going to be travelling up with the guys from the Midlands on Sunday, if they'll have me?!?

It was up to 96, but 1 of my friends has had to drop out, Darren Thompson has dropped out, and presumably his 2 friends, so about 92 ish.
But I wouldn't be suprised if it does top the ton.
I suspect there will be attendees who, for what ever reason, haven't registered their intentions on here.

Weather forecast is good, so hope we have an enjoyable day.

I hope you had an enjoyable drive.
Thanks to the many of you that attended, YOU make these Meets succesful not me.

Thanks to the 2 Elise owners, nice to see something different, along with Chris's Shelby Cobra, Gillys husbands Stratos,(very nice car), the lone Evo 6, the lone 22B (thanks Paul) and all the other Imprezas. My son Matthew initially started to tick you all off a list he had printed off, but he got bored doing that, so I am unable to thank you all by name.

Shame Mick with the Ferrari 360 didn't turn up, as I went to see him last Saturday, and he said he was up for it, and Andy with the Ferrari 348 ducked again.

Chris with the Cobra counted about 70 cars at the start, and my friend John had counted 66 just before that, but I only counted 56 ish at the finish, so a few less than had registered (92 +) but still a good effort.
I think some must have gone home/got lost by the end.

Shame the weather came in at the car park part way around the route, as the view from there is stunning on a sunny day. Ah well.
And the roadworks on the following section, slowed down an otherwise intimidating section of road.
You need big whatsits to go full bore down that road normally, definately sorts the men/women from the wimps. I am in the latter category , by the way, sometimes.

Again thanks for your attendance, MTR productions (Matthew aged 9) wishes you well, and so does his Dad Martin.

MTR, Thanks for the excellent organisation of today's run. Sorry I didn't go round the full route but a heavy cold, new front discs and pads (as of Yesterday) and a small grumpy child ment that it wasn't to be. Jealous Hubby, however enjoyed himself so I'll pass over to him......

Thanks again for the organisation MTR. Good fun playing with the 22B. I did discover one or two 'interesting' handling traits with the Stratos Replica though:-

1. I could have any form of power-on understeer I liked!
2. Especially on the bumpy sections when the front end was not on the ground often enough to give any grip

I'll have to work on the front end grip, but as the car is fully rose jointed I have plenty of scope for adjustment.

Shame that the weather closed in at the end, as standing round the cars beer in hand is always enjoyable.

I think you deserve special thanks for attending. You must be very enthusiastic/barmy (delete as applicable)to travel so far, to get rained on in the Pennines.
But from all acounts you and your car can hustle along quite well, but unfortunately I didn't see it myself.

Sorry the Ferraris didn't materialise!!! if thts what you were hoping to see.

As an aside, one of my friends (Red Mica MY00) has a motorbike, and attempted to organise a camping weekend away with all of his biking associates. Lots of interest, yes we will have some of that. Everyone assured him they wanted to go. Come the day 2 other bikes turned up to join my friend and his wife!! They went ahead with the trip, after appologising to the campsite, who had expected X number of attendees, and had a great time, but he would never offer to organise one again.

With people like yourself, willing to put so much effort into attending, it makes the otherwise worrying task of organising events such as this worthwile.

What do I mean about worrying.
That the people that have said they will turn up, will turn up.
That there will not be any trouble, Police/ bad boys.
That there will not be any accidents.
And the weather is OK.
And just about any other eventuality, you could mention.

I woke up at 3:09 am on Sunday, (don't you love those massive bright red L.E.D. alarm clocks that you can see from 1/4 of a mile) and couldn't get back to sleep. Doh!
The wife was not impressed, so I don't suppose I will be organising another one for quite some time.

Loved it.

Superbly organised meet MTR.
It was a top notch drive (and sometimes scary), it showed me what fantastic grip the Impreza has.

It was nice to put a face to a name, espicially those that live/drive in Leeds near where I live.
