Searching for the perfect Chassis
I have a few options I think having woken up early with it on my mind, but they are all the same ones as I had 12 months ago.
except one.
From Rob's thread Zen will raise the stakes some more for 2008!
I think crash helmets make good hanging baskets, unless I take the alternative option that is.

Got the Mag Martin, thanks! 'The only record to be broken that day' is a nice header to have on your picture!
There is a class in the hillclimb series that looks very attactive to me (especially right now) that would be more to my liking I think than the current situation.
It is a fledgling class but growing and the class racers I know from the past.
It would mean a total sell-up inc the 911.
The only alternatives are to run the 911 in C2 which only needs a set of Kumho's but is desparatly slow so would feel a bit rediculous tbh.
Another is the big engine route in the Impreza which is not on really.
Or simply carry on as I am and make some changes to the suspension and engine later, ie 2009, but spending 2008 just filling the paddock seems a waste of time.
Graham.

What kind of cars are run in the class? be difficult to let go of the cars, esp the 911 (no family pressure?) I know what you mean about 'filling the paddock' too, you need to be competitive.
I do hope to be able to to come back to hillclimbing if my health is ever sorted allowing me to and to earn again! although I would have to run something cheap(er)!!
Hope to see you soon anyway, is there a meet at Prescott coming up? if so, you going? and when is it?
Cheers
Martin
Graham,
just read the December posts on DCCD. Today I just went through the same pain barrier. RESPECT SIR!
I have all my DCCD controller working on my Autocross WRX but I have one small question.
The switch you mounted to lock the diff on the steering wheel...please, please, please can you tell me how you wire it up? what colour wires do I need to join with my switch?
I am seeing wires in front of my computor monitor right now. I need a beer!
Thanks, John

I'll dig it out as I'm sure I drew it somewhere, will post back tomorrow night as I've been welding a stand for a real Carbon brake disc used by Mr Schuey in the Benneton days!
The things I get asked to do!

Get your advert up in the private cars for sale forum mate, it's currently in general with house alarms and tyres!
Racing this weekend at Prescott with plenty of drama!
Geoff stuffed his neat Impreza into the armco doing quite a bit of damage, but got out ok with a sore back. Not good.
Practice day yeaterday saw Rob, Pete and I all on 46 second bracket for the first time I can recal.
Found the problem with my car, and hiked the tyre pressures to find the time in the car and a consistancy too.
Race day was nearly predictable...
The Big Audi V8 has run a bearing on the crank, so was out (for the year?) and Pete spat Rob and I out on the second runs despite my rain-dance. Great runs Pete and well done indeed. Fab car.

One of my fav cars there today:

In a real quandry if I should sell or go 2.5/ppg?
