looks like the weather will be good, so the westfield looks like the motor.

275BHP in a scateboard should be fun on those roads.

Hiya John,

Don't suppose you fancy some one to watch that rev counter for you again But on a serious note I need to catch up with you to chat about geometry settings .... the mind boggles.. I'll be there on Sunday, we will have to get together at the Nont Saras pub when it's all over.

MTR ....

Great day out, had some serious fun keeping the old trusty Sport up with the lead car ....

We will certainly have to get our act together down here in the Midlands and get one together.

Thanx

Hi MTR
Big thanks for organising and help with the ECU resetting, although the light did come on again, but i forgot to mention the speedo not working (sorry, i now know its relavant) ive burnt the cable near the turbo, due to an excellent route with lots of boosting. Cant wait for the next one.

Phil.

Evening all.

Cheers MTR for going too the trouble of organising todays event.I don't know the full story of what went wrong, and why a few of the others could'nt make it,but all of those who attended will have enjoyed it.
Shame about the lead group getting split up,but the full family in the blue scoob set a good pace.I did'nt realise mother in law was in the back
P.S John, when you get you're new red mica scooby, you don't have too chase bikers, though I must admit it can be entertaining, so long as you are not a passenger

Cheers again everyone,Chunky.

Boomer .....

I agree, sorry about the split at the start ....... I blame the tractor myself ... that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it I learned a lot today though, next time I won't let a tractor stop us from having fun and I'll pull over and let you catch-up .

I'm gonna look up a route I know around here and see if it's feasable to run a similar event here in the Midlands. I know of a good mixture of roads locally just need to check them from a scooby drivers point of view !

Again, sorry Boomer old mate ...

MTR,

big thanks for organising today, and don't let the "problems" get you down - all that _did_ attend had a great time. It was a much more friendly meet that last time, and you didn't have to wait for half an hour to get served in the Nont .

Kev,

less of the "Sport" and more of the "Scooby" - and my tyres squealed a few times as well, think of it as your car smiling to itself!

WALKER,

no probs with you "losing" me - just don't tell anyone that i hadn't got the bottle to overtake a _tractor_!

Chunky,

i guess that you musta been behind me - minor panics at Denshaw, but we got there in the end.

"3 generations in a Scooby",

great to meet you - and the little one seemed to enjoy the day better than us "grown ups"!

Clarey,

hope the warning lights stop flashing!

All the rest,

great day - glad you came along,

Piccies to follow later this week.

Cheers,

Boomer

Cheers for the comments Boomer ...

Mmmmm great sound as it strained around some of those corners though

OK then folks ignorant old me wants to know who I followed at the front for the entire route, a Lady driver( and dare I say a flippin good one too, certainly knew how to handle the scoob she was piloting )and her family who slowed down more than a few times to let me play catch-up ... not sure who they were, we chatted very briefly at Birch services ( yet another Villa fan ? ). Just wanted to say great fun following you around, interesting lines around some of those twisty bits too .....

MTR,

i think that "Gilly" was actually leading Pack 1 Part 2 (thanks for taking over). I wish that all of _my_ family and relations enjoyed a bit of a sprint!

If i recall correctly, a dark blue Scooby took the Pack 1 Part 1 lead on the M62. From my photos at the Nont, it looks like a standard Mica Blue turbo (99 or 00).

Hello all, I have just recovered from sedation. It was my car in front of Kev and Walker, with the wife driving and Alexander (6) nagging in the back. We passed you on the motorway cos we thought it'd be better as we knew the roads and area.

Boomer and co., sorry, as we knew the road we knew you'd struggle to find a place to pass the tractor, but we thought the guys behind us would like to try out the road we were on.

It was difficult to know where to wait for everybody, especially once the odd "other" car got occasionally mixed up. We gave you a chance when we drove straight past the turn for Waller Clough Lane and had to turn around at the top of Scaepgoat Hill. But we probably could have hung on at Denshaw first time around, sorry.

Anyway, excellent day, great to meet even more fun loving people (not criminals I don't think!), I have loads of photos, we'll bring them to your Midlands meet eh? Up the Villa for the cup!

Saw Moz.g's Red Mica model, first one I've seen in the daylight, very impressed, no wonder the other half won't let you out in it, definate thingy magnet innit?

Thanks esp to the two MTRs for being so organised and attracting the motor bikers for a chat at Nont Sarah's too!

Don't forget, we all drive again to attend the "NW bash", with MC Nesta (that's Tony!)with stopover, treasure hunt and barbie up in t' Lakes over the weekend of 24/25 June. See more details at Tony's site

Oh and Karlo, so that was you and Stuart with the EVo, we sat next to you in Nont Sarah's and spoke to you outside when we got back to Nont Sarah's, you and Stuart said you had overtaken us (presumably at the speed of light as we didn't see you!) and done the whole route plus had a 5 course dinner and watched War and Peace on the telly before we arrived with the first group. I must get those offset square number plates, they make all the difference.

Hi Barry,
Thanks for pointing that out!!!
Well, actually we did do all those things but if we told you the truth, you still wouldn't believe us!!
The true story is that we got a lift of.......... a spaceship!!!!!
The aliens liked our cars so much that they wanted a better look!!
We had lunch and watched War and Peace as they wanted to know what we 'humans' are like and took the route to see what routes we like as they are doing the same thing on their planet (forgot to ask them!!!(sorry),then transported us to the carpark back in time.
Thats the story!!! Believe it or not!!!
Maybe I will be invited to their dayout, if so I will let u all know
I am still working on the offset number plate for a better mounting point(board)
If you are interested I will let you know later
Regards
Karlo
P.s. see you all at the Bash (hopefully)
I will have more mods on the Subaru!!!!!!

Barry ...

We both had a ball keeping up You're lucky so 'n' so's living so close to such great roads .. oh and the great (blurred !) views ... I must admit the route that MTR sorted took in everything I think the average driver loves .... including an incline 3 point turn
