Not yet mate. Had to collect them from the Post Office last night, so I didn't get a chance.

Might see if I can do it at the Halfway House tonight!

You'll need a 10MM & 12MM socket and a 12MM spanner.

I'll take some with me.

Only takes about 15 minutes...

Mine arrived this morning, didn't get a chance to fit the till just now, found it a bit fiddly getting the little spring retainer thingys in, one flew.. but found it and eventually got it in... does it matter what way up they go?? i've fitting the dampers at the bottom, some instructions in english might have been uesful...??

Anyway, now happy, mine don't hold the bonnet anywhere though, only right at the top..... is that correct??
they also seem a bit stiff, i wouldn't want to apply that much pressure to an Ali bonnet!!

Cheers Spec c... and Scott....

Thumbs up

Great service, I ordered mine yesterday afternoon and got them today and fitted all in under 24hrs

Ron the damper should be on the bonnet as in Budgie's picture. Yes they are stiff to push down especially on an ally bonnet.

Colin.

whats this about fitting spring retainers?

Mine came with two bolts, two brackets, two ball joint bolts and two washers.

Nothing else.

Does it matter which way round they go, because space looks tighter at the hinge end!

TBH i would fit them as scott did, (pic on page 1...) as for room it wouldnt matter as when they close up its compressed and in exactlly the same place...

the spring retainers are pre-fitted onto the ball joints these need removing prior to fitting otherwise the ball joints wont fit....

steve.... anymore problems i will try to help.... :d

So you somehow knew before fitting that the struts compress fully?

Clearly they were always going to fit, but I whince everytime I shut the bonnet even with just the brackets and the ball joints fitted!

Took my whole 12 and a half stone of weight and still wouldn't compress.

Fitted them on the bonnet and with the right pressure they moive perfectly.
