Scoobynet operates on a buyer beware basis. I know that neither of the webmasters are happy about this sort of thing but it does happen occasionally

I too was stitched up earlier in the year but that was only 1 out of many deals I've done on here.

Hi guys,

Been away from my PC over the weekend, hope to action my original offer to approach Andy by e-mail to find out what is happening, at 1300 today. I have noted the names of those who have responded. But am starting to sway towards the "we have been shafted" belief. I think we have pretty much all those who were deceived registered.

My intention is to lay out the options to him. These are;

1. Those who have recieved nothing should be given a full refund (would suggest paypal to avoid bouncing cheques or empty promises) - it is then down to Andy to pursue Royal Mail for his £30 compensation under the recorded items T's&C's.

2. Those who have recieved defective components should be offered a refund and the parts will be returned on receipt of funds.

If anyone has anything to add please do so before 1300.

I do have Andy's address, and like many others I have found him to be very convincing. Surely the legal position on this is deception? Anyone in favour of making this official at this stage, ie - involving the police.

Moderators - any objection to me exposing this guys name and stated address on here once I have warned him by e-mail that I intend to do so?

Replies to here, or PM - mailbox emptied.

TT

The following is cut and pasted text from an e-mail which I sent to Andy Cannon's personal e-mail address at 14:49 today.

QUOTE

** Without Prejudice **

Andy,

To my disappointment I have still recieved nothing by post regarding the above. I have reached a juncture now whereby I need to draw a line in the sand and make alternative arrangements for this or similar modifications.

I would ask that you refund the full amount to me by actioning the paypal invoice which I have sent to you at this e-mail address.

Unfortunatly I have recently learned that I am not the only person in this position - there are others who have posted their comments back on the BBS regarding the non-receipt of the intercooler spray kit components. I have also learned that of those who did recieve kits, most had some unservicable parts included and some had parts or instrutions missing. In light of this I feel that I have no option but to formally escalate this issue and as of 1130 today I have done so.

In addition to myself the following persons at Scoobynet have either not recieved items or have recieved defective or incomplete kits;

Jumbomechanic
Austen_WRX
JayPSC
Dyney
5cby
scogsywrx
rigga
Blue Scoo Ste

To ensure balance - public postings will be made in respect of events related to this issue - you are obviously invited and encouraged to contribute to those postings in the original thread http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=444448&page=4 - I would advise you have upset and wound-up quite a few of the forum members with this item, myself included; To restore your credibility as a participant in the on-line community I would suggest on behalf of those persons aforementioned, you should give serious condsideration to doing the honourable thing, and refund in full the funds which they transferred to you in good faith.

I have indicated to those above that I am prepared act as an intermediary to bring about a satisfactory resolution to this issue. I must advise you that at this point ignoring this e-mail or doing nothing would be an unwise decision.

I look forward to hearing from you,
Dave

i also have his home address, its on the jiffy bag the parts came in.

i will post it up in the morning if anyone wants it. Jiffy bag is in the back of the car.

The bits are to say the least a bag of mashing, heaps of electrical connectors ant cable ties to "bulk" up the packaging, bit of cable, bit of tubing, two nozzles, one relay, one actuator or something like that and a cheap little black box.

My last PM from Andy was defo the 18th:-

"Hi there

I have just checked with the royal mail with regard to further info on the parcel.

Apparently, items sent recorded delivery are not traceable until they have been delivered, which doesnt help much

The only help they could give me is that I can claim for a lost item 28days after date of posting, which again doesnt help

When I get home tonight Ill check through what stock I have remaining and see if I have enough stock for another kit to send you, if not Ill have to refund you your money.

Ill come back to you either late tonight or first thing tomorrow

Cheers

Andy"

Come back to me, my ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting Austen..... I recieved this on 18th aug at 9.57 am

"Hi there

The royal mail were useless with giving me info, apparently items sent
recorded delivery are not traceable only at the point of delivery.

Which doesnt really help, apparently I now have to wait 28days for the item
to arrive with you, after that time if it hasnt arrived, then I can submit a
claim for lost items !

When I get home Ill have a look through what stock I have remaining, Im
pretty sure from memory I do have enough left for a few more kits, so will
let you know later on today on that score.

Cheers

Andy"

With the benefit of hindsight I was trying to work out why you would buy 8 of everything - 8 times as many parts as you need????? OK some things may only come in pairs or batches, but to buy 8 pumps, 8 relays 8 fuse holders etc, I should have smelt a rodent right away. Funny thing is if this had been on e-bay I would have given it a seriously wide berth.

I have found out that Andy regularly goes to the goat pub meets in hertford heath, on the first sunday of every month and he drives a red turbo, pre 99. He has also messed another person around with the purchase of some other goods, fobbing him off with excuses.
