On many occcasions i gave my own water ration away to local people who were in more need of it than i.

The people who commited this act do not have fighter planes, aircraft carriers, tanks, helicopters, laser guided weaponary. They have only their ability to make a population so scared, that it has no option but to begin to look at the issues leading to this atrocity being committed.

This week I've actually watched someone go from saying "the ******* c*nts should go back to where they came from" to "actually I'd be fairly pissed off if my country was invaded". This is the desired result for the perpetrators. Generates discussion, opens up debate and from here the masses, rather then the academic few, build a real understanding of the issues facing Muslims. Pressure is then placed on the Government - "if we hadn't invaded them they wouldn't be interested in us - it's Blairs fault". This is the perfect outcome.
A couple of examples. IRA - bombed innocents - Sein Fein is now a ligitimate political party. Hamas - bombed innocents - now receiving international sympathy towards their plight.
I said in a previous post that I hate suicide bombers. I do. This does not mean that I am incapable of looking objectively at the reasoning behind these acts.

I understand that you're in the forces and, for your own sense of self, you have to believe that what you did in Iraq was right. I'm just asking people to have the courage to look at the situation objectively, to see the whole picture. If you can't, I sincerely understand.

Edit for clarification: If conscription was introduced to protect my homeland, Great Britain, then I'd stand and fight without hesitation. This does not mean I'd be blind to the facts, the reason I was fighting and the causes of war.

first of all mate, i said ask the uk government to bravo, and mate first of all, i salute our army the best in the world and most just, uk government had their heads so stuck up bushs *** they believed they were ONE.
and also give or take a few ******** in our army overall its an awesome piece of kit
and regarding not blowing up power stations and water supplies i joined the atrocity of the usa and uk as one coz they went in together by breaking all world laws , **** the geneva convention , almost all geneva convention laws were broken
abu ghraib, using clusters, napalm type chemicals just found out lately and also guatanamo bay my friend etc etcand here is a list of just a handful

I do understand the bigger picture and believe me most f us think its BS.
However we see alot more than joe public will ever be able to comprehend, to that end i try to educte people on the fact´s, not the ****e published in the embedded or for that matter the freelance press.
I am at the moment involved in a case from the war. those on here who know me know most of the facts about this and they also know what the press has been stating. Needless to say it differs highly.
Just so your aware, the vast majority of us arent actually mindless robots and we do think for ourselves which is what makes our armed forces one if not the best in the world. Not that im biased of course

and yes i think alot of veterans here know how much i adore the sas their the british mujahideen
