They keep saying that 5 billion are watching. I can't quite believe that figure. I thought the world population was 6.5 billion. I would be surprised if more than 80% of that figure had access to a TV set and were awake right now.
Anybody got any idea how this figure could be accurate? Could they be taking into account future screenings, people watching it on the news tomorrow? Not having ago by the way, genuinely curious as to how this figure could be calculated.

What a load of tosh about cancelling debt, yeah lets cancel out all the debt so that these dictator run countries can go and buy themselves another £20m private jet to fly about in while their country dies on its ar$e.
When they get rid of the dictators and murderers and general robbing thieving b4stards running these poor countries then we have reason to help get their country straight.
What G8 should be about is removing the ******* from power first. And David (Lock) it shouldn't be down to the SAS going in to kill Mugabe, it should be a collective World issue where all nations agree in the removal of such a murderer. But the United Nations are spineless w@nkers for starters and couldn't stand up to anyone. Mugabe should have been forced from power years ago but no one has the guts to do it, least of all the United Nations
With the majority of central and Southern Africa supporting Mugabe is it a wonder the continent is fcuked? All the African leaders are all responsible for the demise of their continent (check out their private plane and car collections not to mention their gold lined palaces) and until they are removed then I am sure as hell not going to give any support to helping Africa

Fantastic idea but fundementally flawed, lets triple aid and wipe out debt in Afica, President Mugabe can have another 20 million pound boat and half the politicians can drive round in limos.

The only minimising of suffering I see is providing comfort for the poor celebrities.
That is the EXACT problem in Africa, a small number of corrupt individuals with all the power, money and lifestyle that exploit their populations. (or should that be a small number of celebrities that are exploiting their fans)
