this is one of my favourite poems and brought me comfort when my mother passed away:

Indian Prayer (Anon)

When i am dead
Cry for me a little
Think of me sometimes
But not too much.
Think of me now and again
As i was in life
As some moments it's pleasant to recall
But not for long.

Let your thoughts be with the living.

 

I just wanted to let you know I am thiinking of you and your wife. I am a year off qualifying as a midwife and so I know that unfortunately this happens all too often.
