F1 GSD3 splitting - thoughts

Had a brief discussion with Goodyear.
To avoid mis-quoting or pre-empting any responses I would suggest the following:
Bob, you should probably take these back to the fitting station and request that they return them to Goodyear, and possibly follow up with a call to them yourself.
01902 327070 ask for technical department for tyres.
They will assess each case and are happy to investigate.
It would seem that the 215/40-17 size may not be appropriate for turbo models as it is not a listed option and would appear to be below spec, and I would suggest that anyone currently running this size check them and consider their own course of action, or if thinking of fitting them consider that if they are not within the recommended fitment spec or range then they proceed at their own risk, just as with other out-of-spec mods.
If there are any issues with other sizes, including those shown as within recommended spec, then they should be returned likewise.
If they are rated correctly for the car then there shouldn't be any issues like these - and I've not seen anything so far to show that there have been.
I have complete confidence in the correctly rated versions myself.
I don't want to cause any panic or speak out of turn, I just don't want anyone to go unaware of the 'risks'.
All my comments are just my opinion, but I hope they are at least useful to other users in some way.
Jerry.

Just spoke to them about 20mins ago also.
They dont seem to think its load related as the tyres are capable of over 900kg per axle and the higher rated tyres aren't actually that much of an increase in load capability.
They did, as you mention suggest its not the correct tyres size and this should be taken up with Subaru.
Just worrying as this seems to be the most popular tyre size and brand.
