BMW USA will now let you order one with a manual gearbox. I take this to be a hint they're going to start making some

Sounds like a very capable car but damn it's ugly. And expensive too. I'm not buying one.

Was told by a dealer today that a manual should be available before Christmas. Didn't say what year though

mainly cos the engineering in F1/wrc/touring car makes the gearbox a 50k extra. When you bring it to road use they have to compromise. If they want to bung a 50k gearbox in my car I wont object

Why all the talk about its looks - 0-100mph in under 10sec in a family four door saloon. No matter what manufacturer you prefer this car is awesome, if you are in to cars like me we should thank BMW for producing cars like this, they could just stick to building the high selling diesels.

I,ve only ever owned one BMW and wasn't impressed but would love one of these I,m off to get a lottery ticket and will order mine in graphite with red leather! for now though my Subaru will have to do, now whats the number to get it Chipped!!!!

Er yes but then the car also costs up to £500k. I take it your car does'nt? I would think that mass production will also bring down the relative costs. The F1 etc gearbox also needs to take punishment and failure means losing a competition

You d'ont really offer people financial advice for a living do you?
