Well, driving up the road on friday and hit a stone or a bottle on the road coming round a bend rather quick. It went under the F/L and out the back. Resulted in a burst oil filter (not too bad & new one on now) and dodgy steering. Cars pulling to the left now (tyre press. checked), when left side goes over a bump steering goes well light and steering wheel jerks to the left a bit. Also noticed the the steering column is hitting off the turbo heatshield when going from right to left lock but not left to right.(does it at same point of rotation, ie twice in 1 full turn). Nothing seems to be visably wrong underneath. Also judder in steering wheel around 80mph but might be due to wheels needing rebalanced.

Could be a Track Rod End?
Or maybe the left Anti Roll Bar Link is SHA**ED!
But I think that you might have damaged the Steering rack with the description you're giving. EXPENSIVE, I'm afraid that some of the STi6 V-Ltd cars have a 13:1 Quick Rack whereas the WRX and UK cars havew a 15:1 rack

Aye, filled out one of their forms noline but i know what theyre like for getting in touch through email. I was just wanting to get a rough cost of a new rack because i had plans for other things but if it is the rack then it takes priority. I'll wait to see what Gav has to say on monday. Hopefully its just a harmless fluffy bunny rabbit wedged in there somewhere!
P.S. Dont suppose your reg starts with an s? My old man got all excited when he spotted a grey type r in the town today.
PPS. Dont go driving in B.o.D. Council has declared war on the road coming into town!
