Hi Stu,
The fella from Goxhill with the white STI RA may well have one for sale, he had loads of spare bits.
He has posted on here previously so you might be able to find his ID and PM him.

Hi fellas,
I need a down pipe Cat for my MOT the end of next month, I would be happy to 'rent 'one off someone.
Or even better does anyone know a 'friendly' MOT tester that will pass it as it is?
I'm sure you all have been following the car tax changes, I've done some digging and it seems that if your import had a standard SVA test then it will not have a Co2 figure recorded on your V5 document, this means that you only ever pay for your engine size and not the Co2 tax banding, so no jumps to £400.
Also does not affect any vehicle registered before March 2001.
It will effect a classic registered later than March 2001 with the c02 reading recorded on your log book and of course if it has been ESVA tested.
You could buy a newage import that has been SVA tested and if it has no co2 figure recorded, again you only pay the basic engine size tax.
I hope this is all as clear as mud,
Cheers,
Lee.

Yes I know I have only had it for a few months but -
I have decided to start getting set up to go self employed so I need a van and tools etc, this means I have to sell my pride n joy to finance it.
Most of you have seen it so you know its condition but here is some info.
Cyprus (Euro import) JDM spec 1/11/2001
36300 miles.
Cat 1 alarm immobiliser.
Full decat stainless.
Induction from lower front bumper.
In dash DVD/CD player.
Six speed box.
Auto water spray.
New 18" alloys n tyres covered 300 miles.
New clutch at 26500 miles.
Lots of Main dealer servicing.
Getting a new cambelt on Tuesday and a full service.
Taxed until November but MOT runs out end of next month.
Low road tax, in fact lower than my other halfs Picasso next year, there is no CO2 reading on the V5 log book so it can only be charged by the engine size, this means no £400 road tax just £210.
Phone me on 01472 237267 or mobile No 07809833838
Cheers all,

Just waiting for set of wider wheels/tyres so got a set of Rota Grid 17's in black for sale, can supply with R888 rubber (track use only though) or can get a deal on new rubber if needed.
Do you still do the Sunday night meets, unfortunately due to work can't usually make them, and this Sunday didn't get back from Brands until 11pm.
Cheers
Dill

I drove down in convoy with team mate Neil, following his R33GTR. A detour to try and find a shell garage but was unsuccessful, this would cost me later!
Once we had arrived I prepped the car, setting the suspension and tyre pressures, when I finally got a pit hand, Paul, past the tards on the paddock gate he set about adjust the roll bars to see what effect they have.
With a hot lap time from last year of 56.1 secs, I set myself a target of a 54 sec lap. A tall order but thought it may be possible with the right set up and getting a clear lap, when the tyres are fresh.

Out for practice and manage a few clear laps although the tyres are gone after 2 full laps, but I keep out trying some different lines. Paddock doesn’t feel as quick this year, I seem to be getting on the power earlier, and nearly loose it a few times on the grass-crete, and the brakes have gone a bit spongy.
A 56.588 is set, and I’m fairly happy for now as I remember last year I was getting consistent 57’s and the hot lap was nearly losing it on every corner. The car is stepping out a bit but it’s controllable over steer. I have to come in as I’m at around 1/3rd to ½ full and getting fuel surge out of clearways.

Got the brakes bled, with a better pedal feel, but with the engine running it still feels a bit off, someone assures me it’s the pedal itself, and I have witnessed for the 1st time myself how much the bulkhead actually flexes under pedal pressure. Brake stopper on ‘to do’ list.

Back out again and I get lots of clear laps in with only 2 out of the 18 laps done slower than a 56. My quickest lap this time is surprisingly on lap 13, a 56.226. This lap has none of my quickest sectors or best top speeds. The timing sheets tell me my best 2 paired sectors would achieve a 55.871. The car feels great and its lots of fun, now I don’t want to change anything so leave it alone. Again getting fuel surge as level gets below ½ full.

Totally brimmers with fuel this time, thought I was going to run out so had to buy some Sunoco stuff, not very cheap at all. Afterwards 2 people offer me fuel as their cars were non-runners! Out for the qualifying and push hard getting in a total of 19 laps, quickest lap this time on lap 4 with a time of 56.360, and a possible ‘ideal’ of 55.915. Unfortunately not quick enough to qualify, although this is the closest I’ve come this season, and in view of the competition not a bad result.
After the prize giving, everything was packed into the car for the drive home. I was pleased the car ran without fault again for countless laps and thankful to the following, in no particular order.
Pit help, Paul, Jamie, and Stu. Neil for accommodating me.

Just sold 1 set of wheels. Didn't realise the interest in them.
If I sell another any GY lot are welcome to 1st refusal, take a look down at RASP, also got some part worn track tyres, STI (555 ltd edition) interior, and a decent Focal speaker set up (hardly used as the car was stripped)
