Picking car up Thursday, should be applying rest of decals at RASP, long drive up to Scotland Friday

I'll keep you all posted on how I get on at round 2, at Knockhill.

Could really do with a trailor and vehicle to tow it, going to see how much a rental will be, anyone in the trade?

Good luck for Knockhill, I wont be at the shoot out as I am away on holiday, sods law that the event is earlier than last year and I can't go.
At least it gives me a year to get it sorted out for the next one.

A few of the lads are going though, Steve may be entering if he gets his car mapped in time.

Hi All,

Got back from Knockhill last night, quite a good run back, still noisy though and no stereo. Finished about 25th overall. Was a bit gutted at 1st as I thought I may be able to shave 2 seconds off, in reality car is a little heavier due to cage, and had to run a full tank all the time,as I was getting fuel surge out of the hairpin with 1/2 tank.

Had an oil leak on the way down there, a guy called Ren/Richard sorted it out for me, I didn't have a clue, it was the turbo oil pressure feed, my shabby work putting it back on no doubt after the gasket replacement.

After looking at the times, and driving the car back home again ( I really do need to get a van and trailor!), I was less than 0.2 slower than a 450bhp hawkeye, and about 0.5 seconds slower than a 400bhp evo driven by a local. So its still all in one piece, so am I, only came off once, videos to follow, and I laughed when someone commented on how 'commited' I was on the 1st corner, hopefully they'll be some pics up somewhere with wheels in the air.

Silverstone in 2 weeks, anyone wants tickets let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Nice one fella, good to hear theat the car ran well and you made it around with no damage, get the video posted when you get the time.

What was it like then? it looks like it is a pretty narrow circuit with lots of drops and climbs, I think it was designed for bikes years ago as Cadwell was.

Are you competing in the shoot out this year?

 

silverstone entrance tickets? as in time attack spectating? i may well be interested theres a jap show on at the same time isnt there?

Can't get time off for SSO, gutted, as the handling circuit is good fun, and want to see what 1/4 I can get this year with an extra 20bhp!

got there with the hull lot 6-7 cars? lost the right away tho soon as i got there lol.

i would of come with gy lot, i said im going but no one replyed or let me know mate. next time . im having a stab at it next year ive done a few track and drag days there. that surface gives major grip.

Speedline Corse 2113 Tarmac rims are £148ea, very light/strong and give massive clearance for big brakes.
I have them on my WRX.

My forehead is peeling allready, the wind and sun sandblasted us i reckon. I wont be down on SUnday, i have to go up to Manchester sunday afternoon to get ready for my new project.

Down at Rasp on saturday morning to have my front offside hub changed and the fuel pump fitted, ready for the remap.

 

Acko or Jammo, Can either of you spare an hour on saturday morning? I need to pick up my old engine and stuff from Rasp on saturday morning so i can clear his workshop of my mess lol
