Now then lardy,

Its at least a 6.5 - 7.5 hour drive and it is the last bank holiday so I was thinking of setting off at an early 05.00.


We cant get onto our pitches until 12.00, hopefully we will miss the heavy traffic.

 

last bank holiday <last year> we set of at about the same time but as we got near to bristol way we got stuck in heavy trafic

 

Maybe an hour earlier then?

 

3 kids up and out for 4am , to be honest lee i think 5am is better really, but we'll go with whatever time you think because youve been down there before

 

05.00 it is then fella.

In the past I have usually driven through the night to get there, but that was with out the kids.

The drive down was always traffic free that way.

As for travelling down, have you considered leaving about midnight, let the kids stay up until you leave, they'll sleep all the way in tha car. Only problem maybe (as you stated) getting to your pitch a bit early.

Roads are probably better now, plus ICE, but we used to go to Devon/Cornwall when we were kids and usually did this.

I went to the Car show, quite a few there actually, lots of evo's too. I was on the RASP stand, recovering from a night out in Cleethorpes.
