I think I will be taking a few bits off the car to get some cash together, I'm not too bothered about all the carbon bits etc, Its no good to me when I cant drive it.

Who was selling the engine? I've seen the one RS Geoff is selling but it is provisionally sold.

Now the John,

The part of the casing that holds the bearing will be worn away by the crank due to the movement, its all the big end shells that are worn and their seats.

Apparently it is evo 123 and 4 which suffer from it, it is caused over time by the pressure of the clutch pushing over the years

A new bearing / housing was designed for the 5 and later models. So if you was thinking of buying one go for a 5 or later chaps, they are also easier to tune as well, a pump, regulator, ecu and boost controler will get you up to 360 bhp on the 5 and over.

So that will be the way I've got to go.

get a spare good engine and ill put it in for you. ive a fooking huge garage just past louth i can do it in. it will have to be a weekend. we can get it in in one day. i have a 2 tonne lifting crane, all the tools you can possibly imagine and your welcome to help. pay me £200 for the days work, ill split it with phil (my mate), will be enough for me better than £800+vat

would you please jez,scooby clinic emailed me said they would do a full cambelt service and all oils for £591 about right do you think,

chandlers at horncastle would n't touch mine being an import,but when my car was first regestered over in ireland it came over to england in 99 chandlers at belton grantham did the first 1000 mile service which is stamped in my book,i phoned them and they said they would do a full oil and filter service for £400. i'm a little confused as to why horncastle wouldn't touch it yet there head office at grantham will

so it's provisionaly booked in on wed next week but i finish my night shift on wed morning at 5.30 so a long drive out to grantham from easington then a wait to get it done i'll get no sleep for 25hrs....so if you can have a word that would be great get them to call me on 07908617454 cheers jez.

Yeh got on ok mate, car is there till tuesday though. Getting a 4 wheel alignment done while its there as well as some suspension bits and the boost controller. Nick saide he has found you an evo 6 engine with all the bits said he was going to ring you. Do we still have a deal on the parts?
