Hi all,
Fitted my Blitz dsbc boost controler today which suprise suprise was a pain in the ****. Also fitted a Blitz boost gauge and polished loads of pipes n stuff in the engine bay.
I didnt fit my uprated pump in the end, it isnt a straight forward job.
Ive since read that I may not even need to fit it, I'll find this out on Wednesday when I go to NR Auto in Lincoln.
Hopefully up the boost to 1.1 - 1.2 bar.

Jez,
I took my time putting it in, drilled through the bulkhead to get the wiring harness through for the solenoid, mounted the solenoid as close to the turbo as reasonable ( away from heat)
Then wired it through to the ash tray holder and fitted the analog bost meter ( Had to make a holder for the gauge until I find a decent one.
So all together I spent four hours.
Its also a bit daunting to set up the controler, I dont understand the settings for gain and ratio etc so its on a very timid setting until tomorrow.

I guess your not gonna be selling hotdogs at the show in that then, you could make a bomb running round as a taxi though.

How much are they charging you for fitting your boost controler then?
Can you go to one point six bar on a VI with the standard pump?
Stu,
Hows your car running since your visit to Scoobyclinic?

Dunno mate i dont know until i go to pay. Cant run anymore than 1.3 bar on a VI with the standard pump. I have a walbro already in mine and usually 1.55 bar is all the injectors will take. But a new ecu is also needed past 1.3 bar to get rid of the fuel cut.

Hi All,
Jez I wont be able to buy your exhaust fella my engines knackered, sorry.
Had the crank checked for crank walk and its really bad, 2mm play in the big end bearings (thrust bearings) so they are shot along with the crank casing.
I need to find £2000 for a complete ish evo 6 engine and then find one in good condition, and then it will be £800 plus vat to fit it.
So I'm gutted, we are currently selling the house and moving so I cant lay my hands on that sort of money right now.
As the bearings are that bad he had to shut the boost right down and it could let go at any time.
We need a car and a reliable one so Iv'e got to shell out for a motor for the missus to use first, then I can start saving for another motor, the timing could not be any worse.
