have you checked the coilpacks?

ive just bought another maf for mine! ive got a right dodgy idle on the go. its not all the time but as and when its nearly stalling then jumping back yup to 800rpm then stalling. keeps doing that till you drive off then its fine. ******* car.

 

what plugs are best for my scoob?iridium or platinum?

 

it all looks ok,but im not gonna chance taking it to bits just incase it all falls to bits then im screwed!mines as u got to pull away,it starts a bit lumpy and then it'll jump into action and be fine,but its not very smooth!?

 

it wont be the plugs ross i very much doubt it. 99% sure its coilpacks. chances are its the one at the back nearest the turbo.

i would remove them one by one checking them. i can give you a number of a guy from sheffield who does a full set for £200 inc postage. scoobyclinics best price was £280. roger clarke and grehame goode wanted over £300!

i used to ge a missfire now and then when the car was warming up/ coming off choke for about a minute max. new coils cured it and i had 2 fall to pieces when i removed the rubber tip.

 

bugger thats alot of dosh!!they'll have to wait at the mo,thats a real bummer tho!

 

i know m8. but if you want it running right then thats the best price by miles. you will be paying £35+ for second hand ones cos i sold 2 of my decent old ones for that + postage.
