i consider myself lucky now,i was going to buy an intercooler from him until someone jumped in my place thank god as i was gonna send the cash. i think in future i will think more about meeting up. unless they have lots of posts on this board then i would feel safe

Even a post count does not make it safe... you need to know people who actually know the guy in real life....

The safest way is to find someone who is local to the seller to pick the item up on your behalf in person then send it to you.

Yep thats what i meant! You need to have someone you trust (insert family member or similar) doing the picking up.

unless paying through paypal with a credit card, i'd always pick something up in person....

Unless you're buying off someone you would class as a friend....ie you can definately trust.
