Think I'll now need to follow someone as I've lost my navigator. Unless anyone else fancies filling in...

Great day out - big thaks to Marv ad paul for the route and organisation once again Shame I got lost on the last on the last leg - trying to catch up, I missed a turning somewhere. Ended up in the outskirts of Chesterfield. Did a quick guess to try and catch up further along the route, but took another wrong turn somewhere and ended up way south and east of the finish point, so decided to give up on a bad job and head back home.
Next time I'll swap phone nos so I can let you know where I am...

Hope to get one for next time.
Mine's not quite standard (full exhaust and panel filter, as well as slightly tweaked suspension), but I reckon I'm still giving away a lot of bhp to some of you (reckon mine is somewhere between 220 - 230 at max). Now.... Sti or remap.. hmm

Damn sorry I missed it folks , the car spung an oil leak from front crank seal.
Sounds like it was a good'un, how many miles did it end up at? the 2 fuel stop's were definately needed then if the pace was that good , Yeeha!
The leak was fixed by Sat Pm but didn't wanna run with no miles on the fix, been stranded in the hills once already!

Reckon the intercoolers were working overtime with the 30 C on the day, not to mention the A/C.

Who's going to Thoresby?

John

But Tony most of us were runing 310BHP+ .Sorry you missed this one Churchie, this is my fav route around the Peak. Two pub stops and one fuel stop did about 135 miles the road on the Strines is very bumpy lots of 1st,2nd corners so tends to drink the fuel.In the pub car park we had a TVR tuscan plus a brand spanker Lambo and one very camp driver!!!

Going to do DVD of my tapes and stills of the day has camera man in Dazza's group forgot to turn the camera on .??? Still will be good with some rear end shots . Thats the mount looking backwards that is.

Ah. 310+BHP - that explains why mine seemed a little 'slow' I did manage an average fuel consumption of 24.2mpg though.

Did anyone else spot the patrol helicopter flying along nearby at one point? Think he was patrolling one of the other roads, and was flying in the opposite direction to the one we were travelling at the time.

Sounds like it was a great day, woundnt of had any issues with BHP but as you say 'dont mention the MPG!' as for the A/C it is waiting a new condensor so think it would of been a bit sweaty , so would of needed the pub stops !

Really miffed I missed out on the twisties.

Marv - was hoping to catch up with you about your water inj, did you run your car this run out. Do you rate the water inj?

Hey up mate - sorry you missed it, we had a very pleasant drive as it happens.

I was in mine for this one but only running 1bar boost at the moment until I get my bigger FMIC (the one I've got is only good for up to 350-360BHP). The aquamist system works fine, a worthwhile addition when you're running bigger BHP

Hope to see you on the next one
