STi 6sp prop to classic diff, won't fit!!

Yes I have heard about this "out of line" -issue as well. Seems a bit far-fetched in my case though, cause I have the same prop as I had with the 5MT, it's just 60mm shorter...

David, sure you don't have a auto prop you would like to sell me?

Thats interesting. Does that mean that when fitting the 6-spd the gearbox mounts have to be lowered or raised?

Oh, I thought it meant sideways.... not that I can understand why it could be that way, but....

I had my flange re-drilled at a machine shop. They somehow managed to do it incorrectly the first time - but hey, saved some rotating mass!



Your 6MT is still going strong David, after 50.000 km and LOTS of track days and fun.
I've wrecked the car though...oversteer...90 km/h impact. But it'll be back

Hans Martin, The accident was caused by the ' nut behind the wheel ' as we say in England.

50,000 Km's I reckon you're about out of warranty then - Phew!! that's a bit of luck.
