so why not doit like this
cars are rated
14 to 13 secs
13 to 12 sec
12 to 11 sec
11 to feking fast class
then anything under 11 is classed as top class,so then you can have a shoot out for each class top 4 cars and the winner going head to head in the final shoot out (the winners of each class have a shoot out at the end for the grand winner)
so then everyone has a chance of winning some thing this is why your not getting the people why enter when you now your going to get your **** kick this is why i dont enter totb because how can i compete with cars that have £50,000 under the bonnet just my 2p worth

totb is a completely different event, aimed at the ultra quick cars of each type, hence min 12.5s entry time for 4wd class. i dont think the lack of classes here is the factor, people are always slow coming forward when asked to pay in advance, its a fact of life you have to remind them ! we may have to open it up as rywb on the day, but it will be £5 more to do so i'm afraid.
scoobyshootout is open to all, we may have some additional prizes as suggested above, we already have the quickest 60-ft , top speed, fastest 1/4m, and Scoobyshootout champion awards.

Chris,
As you seem to have missed the other thread.
Does the £45 per entry include driver and passenger entry?
Or do I need to get another ticket for my mechanic?

just read this, £45 entyr is for the car and driver only, anyone else will have to pay for a spectator ticket on the day.
Peccy will be updating the entry list this weekend to show all the names, i'll then add on the other non scoobs attending. looks like we will be opening it up fully to any make/model though as only around 45-50 scooby entries so far.

just to confirm we have now had to open the remaining spaces on the day to rwyb entrants from other clubs/makes. scoobyshootout will run alongside this and the finals will be at 4pm as stated. anyone with a scoob (or other make!) can still apply by the entry form on the www.totb.co.uk site, and can also pay on the day, although there may be a £5 additional fee levied for rwyb payment on the day, so please get your form in asap if you intend taking part.

Chris,
I know you are not a charitable institution and you need to make some money out of the event, but how are entries on the day fair to those who have
1. Prepaid £45
2. Spent the time, effort and money preparing their cars for the event
3. Haven't waited to see who will be there incase their car won't cut the mustard
£50 for RWYB on the day seems to little, £75 might make people think twice about entering on the day. would be interested in your thoughts on the matter.
cheers

Sorry if this has already been asked elsewhere, but whats the situation with regards to a support vehicle, can they be in the paddock area?
Cheers

the lack of scooby entries in time is a disapointment, but to cover the event cost we do have to fill up remaining spaces, and £75 for that would be too much for a rwyb 1/4m event.
support vehicles- people need to email us direct for a pass to pitlane for a support car, stating who its for/address and car you are with. you'll need to pay entry on the gate. we want to keep public cars out of pitlane obviously, spectating scoobs will all be parked together.

Hey!!....I've just had a thought.......... (always dangerous)
At last year's event we could basically just queue up and have as many runs as we wanted.
There was the opportunity for mates to have "grudge" matches and for the slowest of cars to have as many runs as the fastest.
At the close of play, the two fastest had a final run.
Is this year's going to be the same format, or are we having heats, quarters, semis, etc, etc???
If this is the case......I might have paid my £45 and only get one run!!!!
Hope not, or I'll be a bit peeved...........I might have my first run against Rocket Ronnie!!!

Could you let me have an email address please Chris?
Do you think having Japfest the day before could be a factor as to why its a bit quieter this year?
Cheers

only just read page 5 and this , apologies for delay in reply. anyone not listed in the latest competitor listing, or with a query in general is best to mail us on enquiries@trackdayplus.com
i have access to that all day, however i dont always get to scoobynet till late at night for threads and pms.
all the entry forms go to our PO box, and Peccy deals with them all, so the list he put up was current, another will be posted this weekend. anyone not listed its because the forms didnt get here for some reason, suspect royal mail had a hand in that as ususal. email us and we'll sort it.
on the 14th may we wil print the final pre paid entry listings. i'll them send out info and driver passes for all those people. anyone else will then have to come and pay on the day.
we expect around 70-80 cars in total, similar to last year, so you will get plenty of runs in from 10.15am to 3.30pm end of qualifying. then 1/2hr break, with 4pm onwards for the drag finals as ususal. trophies and presentations thereafter.
we are currently looking at a short 15 min break at around 1pm for a demo match with Keith Cowies new record holding R32gtr and Tim Webster, in the Top Secret Drag R or the Jun Lemon. this would be one not to miss!
